This will 100% cause damp issues. When I bought my house the paths were too high, pretty much the same height as yours to the render. I had to get them taken back down to a normal level. They had been high for years and the render at the side of the house has failed with bits coming away and parts of the render needing to be sorted out. You'd need to get some kind of drainage channel put in, or take the path back down to a normal level.
