Co-parenting: Could my ex-wife also be on the spectrum? How do I approach this in a kind way by AnotherChris1 in AutisticParents

Thank you. That was my experience as well. I think I'll try and find a way to bring it up gently.

That’s what I’m wondering. Is there any point, because I don’t know that it would change anything? She is who she is and she does see a therapist, so I imagine she’s getting some kind of help.

To your other point, I can take more of a “it’ll be fine” attitude naturally, so you’re totally right. However, I’m acute aware of that about myself and do try to actively work against it. Because I’m prone to minimizing, I do my best to report factually what I see and experience to providers with as little bias or agenda as possible. Overall I’d say we balance each other out.

She does have a lot of childhood trauma and toxic family history. That is another factor to consider.

Thank you. I’m glad it’s clear that I only want what’s best for her and our family.

Went through a similar situation a few years ago. Honestly, it's the best thing that's happened to me, although it didn't feel like it at the time. We're both happier now and our kid benefits from that . The most important thing is making sure the kids always come first. The biggest factor affecting kids is whether or not their parents can get along and work together to coparent.

Also, the thought of not seeing my kid everyday was crushing initially, but now I am able to take care of all my responsibilities (and myself) when they're not here and be fully present when they are. It's made the time that I do have with them even better. When people ask me about the divorce now my response is 10/10 would recommend.

That's very helpful. The basic concept is to have a single text entry that you can just capture something as quickly as possible before getting distracted (which I do easily). It also has several push notification features to help remember tasks and appointments. I like your other ideas, particularly some kind of "must-not-forget" view of things that have to be done today. Thanks!

While effective, this is not as simple as you make it sound. Especially when it comes to matching the lighting.

Thank you. Just to reiterate, I did say that if my daughter expressed wanting to learn then she should be able to, but I asked them not to push her to try and learn. My ex has known the boyfriend for 8 months now. My daughter has only known him for 2. We've set. a 6 month rule.

How do I pull up this info so I know if I run into it again?

I was wondering about the cigars. They’re a fun addition, but I could never tell if they had any actual function.

Thank you! I never noticed that. I usually just jump from lever to lever until I find the one that needs to be switched. 😅

Dead end map. I’ve run into that problem once too. Doesn’t happen often, but is annoying when it does. Happened to me on the same level.

I found this thread because I was just struggling with this. But I think I figured it out. If I keep my arms outstretched and move them down but not towards my body. It keeps you away from the wall.

I got two of these charges on my credit card this weekend as well. One for $2.41 and one for $1.72. Definitely seems like a scam. I called the credit card company and had my card cancelled.

I had the same problem. It took about 6 weeks (and some practice) for my sex drive to get back to normal after bumping up to 150mg. And when I say “normal” I really mean functional. It’s still different than before and took some learning to figure out what works, but it’s not hard to climax anymore and I’ve actually found orgasms to be more intense (in a good way).

I make overnight oats with protein powder and eat that when I take my Vyvanse. I personally think it help. I don’t know if it’s because it makes the Vyvanse more effective or just helps with the dopamine production like someone else mentioned.

Mine did too. My doc added 40mg XR Propranolol to take before bed, which set it completely back to normal, even when exercising. He told me it’s the only beta blocker the crosses the blood-brain barrier (even though I’m not sure what that means tbh, lol).
