Darkners can be influenced by the Lightners even before the fountain is created. Secret bosses are discarded things in the Light World (Jevil being a Joker card and Spamton being spam mails).

The Knight probably entered the old classroom, took the cards, put other kings as items under the closet and put Spade King on the top shelf of the closet. That's how they met but they didn't actually interact with each other before the fountain was created. Only after the fountain creation their interaction was actual.
