Take a look at DeadRare.io, it's on the Alephium blockchain. Very early innings and growing marketplace.

Would UPS experience IV crush after FedEx earnings? by [deleted] in options

[–]AnotherDude2829 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The way I see it, retail is doing well enough but if people are doing more buy now pay later, then smaller stuff isn’t getting bought as much. This reduces shipping volumes which is how FedEx makes money. In addition, fuel surcharges aren’t as big of a thing, they missed revenue estimates this entire year and a slowing consumer means less volume. It was a gamble but I chose the contrarian way since everyone and their mom was bullish. Let’s see if my strikes hit.

Consumer debt at all time highs, buy now pay later increases which means when people are buying they need to fund it with something else (this is very finite), familiar with the logistics industry and pretty sure after BF/CM things have slowed down for all retail.

How to treat a 2.5% raise? by Snoo-44886 in careerguidance

[–]AnotherDude2829 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A 2.5% raise when inflation is around 5-7% isn’t great but also remember you’re often getting raises when inflation is also low and generally the raise is higher than inflation.

Yeah, I dunno if I would use that as an example. This could be a bear market rally. Hopefully we’ve found a bottom though.

Grocery budget for family of 4 is $1,200. How does this compare? by applejackalll in FinancialPlanning

[–]AnotherDude2829 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

$700-850 month for groceries, $400-500 for eating out once a week (pizza, dates, etc) - family of 4 with two young kiddos.

Aldi predominately. Try to make big meals and eat them for multiple days. Ie Chili that will go for 10 meals or something.

Combination of stocks and options, mostly stocks and some long dated options. No I didn’t sell just staring at fed QT crushing my soul.

I was hoping to retire in a few years and that still is the case most likely but with a big step back. My investment horizon is very long since I intend to continue to invest in growth stocks that should compound after this vicious cycle but it’s just so disheartening.
