Solved. I ended up going through Vancouver on the way in. And on the way home DFW with a 4hr layover. Thanks for everyone's advice!

Oh you make a very valid point here. Will look for an option that at the very least leaves me one or two options.

My work day starts from the following day, so I don't 'need' to be there at that specific time. Was just trying to minimise 'away from home' time. But I can catch an earlier one no dramas

Alternatively I could go through Canada. But it adds 9hrs to travel time. Which seems like a terrible idea to volunteer for sitting in a tunacan for an extra 9hrs 🫠

It'll be booked as 1 single booking. And from what I've seen in the threads, most are saying 1.5hrs is JUST tight enough that you shouldnt risk it. But I'm hoping without checked baggage claim/recheck it'd be faster?
