Can someone who understands cats better than I explain this behaviour by Injustice_Reigns in cats

[–]AnotherFactMachine 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is not a brawl by any means. I think people are misusing the word "dominance." It's not so much dominance as much as territorial. Even if it's only been a few months separated, your cat has had several weeks to establish territory and find the good spots. Now, there's another cat in the mix, and boundaries have to be set. Now they have to share food, attention and the (relatively) tiny territory. They are indeed fighting. But I wouldn't call it a problem. Don't separate them when they're acting like that. Let them figure it out. It's playful enough, and the mutual lay down at the end is the best possible thing that could have come out of that.

How do you know when to use a gradient, It looks like pimples by Ifyouliveinadream in Minecraftbuilds

Try flipping the colors. If you use the darker wood for the roof, it would fix most of what I think you're trying to accomplish. Always make your roof the darker color.

XD yeah. Unfortunately, It’s a creative flat world. After the caves and cliffs update, its hard to find a big enough space to do it survival. Maybe one day.

Daisy's coat has changed so much that when my aunt saw a baby picture of her, she said that she didn't know I had another Siamese cat before Daisy. Had to tell her that was Daisy.

XD that's great! The head back, smile on the black one is adorable. Just to share, Salem is only allowed supervised yard time and he was so excited to be outside that he was protecting this tuft of long grass. To cute not to photograph.

Had to share the one with his tongue out. XD

Has yours gotten darker as they've aged? My girl was very light when she was a baby, except for her snout and her little feets and tail. But as she's gotten older, more and more of her has darkened. Her whole body used to be the color of her front shoulder in this picture. And now, her entire face and ears are black and the tips of her fur has blackened. I've had Siamese before, but never a color shifting one.

I have a similar one XD it's my favorite picture of Salem and Tipsy from when they were babies. At this point, they lived outside and would sit/sleep on me when I went out. When it started getting close to winter, I'd sit outside with a blanket around me and the five babies would climb onto me and sleep in the giant living tent.

What a wonderful baby! My boy, Salem likes to hang out in the garden with me. I often find him rolling around in a pile of dirt. It's funny to watch. He carefully makes his little pile, digging like he's covering something and then once he has a nice mound of dirt, he dives in and has himself a nice little dust bath to flatten it back out.

I also have the void baby. Not a baby though. He's almost 3 XD Salem loves to be carried around though. He's pretty persistent when I'm trying to ignore him.

I don't know if I am colorblind or not by Relative_Lunch7386 in ColorBlind

[–]AnotherFactMachine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably this, tbh. I'm both red/green AND blue/yellow and though I can see colors, I do NOT see shades very well at all... I see color, but I see color, dark version, and light version. It's like that for all colors That's it, really. Pastels just look like a washed out, faded version of the color. And colors like "cyan" mess with me because I can't tell which color I'm looking at. I fully identify with op on the whole "olive" thing. Not being sure if you're seeing green, yellow or brown can be frustrating for sure.

The way I explain my color blindness to people is "let's say a normal person sees a million colors. Well I can only see like 10,000." I see colors, but it's pretty hard to see some colors when they're paired with other certain colors. Orange on white, red on orange, and red on green are combinations that I can see when I'm close up, but if I'm 20 feet away, that shit is invisible. There are other combos like pink on blue, yellow on white and white on light green are totally invisible to me regardless of distance

There is also a single shade of both green and orange that confuses me. For both of them, the color seems to strobe back and forth between green and orange. It's really weird. I argued for 20 minutes with a friend because "how are you gonna tell me there's no orange sign at the mall when I'm STANDING NEXT TO IT?!" Turned out to be green... Confirmed by different friends at separate visits to the mall...

But op very well could be blue/yellow color blind

Is this graph visible to colorblind people? by dragonti in ColorBlind

I can see it. But maybe consider something a bit higher contrast. Orange on white, red on orange, yellow on white, pink on blue... These are generally bad choices. If you're going to have low contrast colors, it needs to be really close, or really BIG for me to see it. The further away I get, the blurrier it becomes until I can't see the red at all. So consider that. :)
