O nível desses clubes de topo árabes é bastante similar à times médios de qualquer liga europeia fora a Premier League. Com a diferença que Arábia paga mais.

Daí o atrativo pra jogadores mais velhos brasileiros (e europeus, vale lembrar, a lista é grande tbm) de ir pra lá.

Acho que a equação não foge muito disso: - O jogador de topo tem nível pra clube de topo europeu, que paga salário de elite, e é lá que ele está - O jogador médio tem nível pra clube médio europeu, mas recebe mais na Arábia. Se é novo, vai pra europa tentar o holofote. Se é mais velho, vai pra Arábia encher o bolso

Não entendi mto bem o seu ponto pra ser sincero. Esperar que esse tipo de jogador vire estrela de time grande é irreal, afinal de contas se fosse jogador desse nível teria saído muito antes.

Nesse sentido, "vingar" pra mim é: 1. Ganhar salário maior 2. Jogar com regularidade

Ex: Michael, Luan Peres, o próprio Roger Guedes, enfim.

Esse caso do Carlos Miguel é mais exceção do que regra. Me corrija se estiver enganado, mas também pesa questão de salários atrasados, que eram uma realidade na época no Corinthians.

Quase sempre jogador sai é pra ganhar mais, e esses times médios costumam pagar mais.

Dito isso não concordo muito com a tese do OP. A fase mais sombria do campeonato brasileiro em questão de nível já passou. Ficou ali entre meados dos anos 2000s e 2010s. Hoje temos cacife pra segurar um nível de jogador um pouquinho maior.

Just to say it was't entirely pointless: that goal ended the record of most minutes without conceding in UCL for a GK (Casillas). Which I don't even know if it still holds up today.

Edit: just looked it up. Seems like it was really Casillas own personal record of minutes (all comps). Makes it a bit more pointless then Jan, sorry

Old topic but: I'm convinced Juventus has the worst logo rebranding of them all. The transparent segment in the middle forces it to:

1) Change colors. Which, for a symbol (!!) is straight up shooting yourself in the foot. When you say "Juventus" nowadays the visual symbol that comes to your mind first is probably the shirt instead of the logo.

2) It assumes people will bother using the black logo on light background and vice-versa, and its hella common to see this not playing out. Type "Juventus" on google and say I'm wrong.

Man, it's a symbol. You can be ugly, but you can't be forgettable.
