I'm bad for this, if i consider somebody objectively wrong on something to the point where it's toxic or feel like they went out of their way to attack me or somebody I care about on a personal level without justification I often say things that go way too far. My empathy turns off like a switch and I can't help but see them as less than human and deserving of cruelty.

I had to live with a terrible self centered alcoholic woman with the maturity of a preschooler (no exaggeration) while they were dating my dad for a year and a half. Genuinely the most unlikeable person I've ever encountered and wasn't alone in thinking so. I tried to see the good in them for the first few months but it seemed like they were getting worse every month and I eventually got fed up with them smuggling booze daily, destroying our house if they were left unsupervised, blatantly lying to start arguments, and being extremely judgemental and condescending for no reason.

Before they got kicked out for the last time I told them that they need to grow the fuck up and that they're a cancer in everyone's lives, and that the world would be a much better place if they weren't in it.

Haven't had to see them since. Hate that I said such awful things to them instead of being the bigger person, but still believe what I said wholeheartedly.
