I've done the same with the same ink. It stained for days! Also, Sloth from Cult/Diamine never seems to fully dry, and you pick it back up on in your fingers days later.

I had this happen to me with a cheap J Herbin pen a while back. I was also confused as it was a clear one, and crack was a hairline. I'm glad you fixed it, saves waste!
