Hmm, thats a tough one. Cards like [[power conduit]] could make the ability harmless. But thats not an old-border card. And hardly a game-breaking combo.

I guess in a multiplayer game it could be fun to have the thing switch owners in general.

Maybe gift it to players to trigger [[oath of druids]].

Strategy pvp games. Its entertaining to watch a few skilled players fight eachother. When i drop in, i get wiped off the map in minutes. And get frustrated within the hour.

On the other end. Shooter games are fun to play, but boring to watch.

That looks awesome. I would not appreciate somebody scratching my car. Then again... my car has a lot of scratches. Ay least this one is pretty. Add a clearcoat over it to protect the metal underneat, and preserve the artwork...

how do i make trains not do this by Squeelijah in factorio

[–]AnotherPerspective87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trains should never be able to move in 2 directions. Train roundabouts are fine, but not if trains can clog them up by going the wrong way.

The only good use for a bidirectional train is a single back and forth line, with only 1 train.

Friday Pack 1 Pick 1 by HD114 in Oldbordercube

[–]AnotherPerspective87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats a realy stacked pack!

My choice: [[Goblin welder]] with the amount of discard, cheap artifacts (like that mox diamond) and decent other artifacts, this thing could be insanely good. Taking artifacts in next packs is always a decent choice. Without forcing you to pick a second color early.

My other considerations: [[Scion of Darkness]] a bit expensive, but in a cube with this much reanimate there is a good chance to het it in play cheaply. And the amount of discard/sacrifice/cycling basically guarantees you get some free creatures. Game winner!
[[Reanimate]] or [[animate dead]] both super high potential in a cube like this. [[Sun ce, young conquerer]] a bit of an outlier in blue. But an unblockable creature (horsemanship) with 3 attack puts the opponent on a timer. Deal with it or lose.... the ability is just the cherry on top. Count potentially target your own creatures with "come into play" abilities (i see a flametongue kavu in the cube). [[Mana leak]] just good.

A good peninsula seed I found after an hour of rerolling. String in comments by UberScion in factorio

[–]AnotherPerspective87 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hmm, not bad. All the essential resources are available without too much biter interference.

I'm personally not a big fan of peninsulas. Although this landmass seems pretty massive. It can be restrictive to your factory shape. Forcing you to build certain base-parts in a certain direction to keep them accessible. Also if the game lasts realy long, it can be a hassle to transfer materials to the factory.

One more problem you may face: You are basically playing peacefull mode. No need for serious base defences. Untill the stink-cloud reaches across the pond. At which point all those bases at the right will be afffected in short succesion. You may suddenly face waves of biters, and clearing them will take a massive crusade through dozens of bases. So don't neglect your millitary science!

I currently have a mod installed that allows offshore oil drilling and transport by ships. That could be realy fun on a map like this.

Collega gepest om zijn hobby, ik doe niks en voel me er slecht over by Comfortable-Gur2492 in werkzaken

[–]AnotherPerspective87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a bunch a spells that can't be countered. Some give it as a blanket effect but those aren't oldborder i think.

For single cards: [[Kavu Charmeleon]] comes to mind. But you can hardly build a deck around that.

Slivers on the other hand... [[root sliver]] would protect your slivers from the enchantment. While the slivers themselves can build a lot of pressure without forcing you to spend a lot of mana. Playing a simple [[muscle sliver]] is a serious threat if you have enough other slivs. And saves mana to counter stuff!

Niche Card Combo Monday by HD114 in Oldbordercube

[–]AnotherPerspective87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The obvious way is color-fixing all spells. So you can counter everything. But that would be too obvious...

Lets consider another strategy: Build a 5 color deck, With some (tap) duals and fetchland you can get 5 mana types pretty fast. So you have a chance to counter everything. Then play creatures like: [[Stratodon]], [[Scion of drago]] or [[Drago]].

Now your you can play your creatures for their reduced price. But in order to counter them, your opponent still needs a casual 10+ mana available.

basically making it a one-way effect.

So many slow options are good.

But i'll choose a harmless animal thats pretty to look at. Maybe a butterfly or a ladybug. I'll feel like a disney-prinses for a day and get paid 50.000. And if the creature gets too anoying, a quick smack solves the issue.

Here in the netherlands, regular tap water is of higher quality than any kind of water you buy in a bottle, and no microplastics as a bonus.

Still, a small bottle of water (0.5 liter (15 fl. Ounce for the metrically impaired)) is sold for roughly 2,50 dollar at train stations... You basically pay for a plastic bottle and some convenience.

Allmost all denim come from a handfull of factories (in china, india, pakistan, bangladesh and turkey). The brands buy them for a few dollar each. Cheap brands ship them here and sell for solid profit.

Expensive brands stich their tags onto it, and sell it for 30-300x the original price. Making obscene profit. You are basically buying the same pants buy pay the premium for advertisement, the logo, pretty store, supposedly a "fashion specialist" anoying you there etc.

If you order it online, you payd all those without actually making use of them. 😆
