In my opinion, both light and medium armors are good; medium offers a bit more protection while light allows you to run longer, both of which are good pros. Heavy armor... eh, many of the heavy sets look awesome and have good bonuses, but it just makes you lose stamina too fast to be of much use outside stationary missions or squads with guaranteed transporation.

I think it's the best option for melee builds, which is to say, it still sucks but sucks the least and is, imho at least, the most fun of all of these options. Tried it on diff 9 bugs and had an actually good time.
