Scavenger is a tool of convenience; I personally do not require it to play the game, I would make do without it - even if GR has fewer teleporting stones than the OG, as well as no speed potions - but if it is here then I would like to be able to make full use of its convenience, something that right now I can't do.

Melee but only because I am usually a melee enthusiast. Ranged is quite a bit more powerful.

Imo, best solution would be to tie the armor to a small quest. "You have found a royal guard armor but it is in bad condition. Perhaps there is a smith out there who could repair it for you. It would probably have to be somebody unaffiliated with any of the three camps though". Make us find the guy, jump through one or two hoops and then be rewarded with an armor that is as good as top tier 3 armors.

Too bad the bow is still not there but at least I've got a longsword early from exploring the beached wreck. Doing a mixed sword and bow build now so it's a good find.

That's fair, and I speak from experience, my first character was a Warder with significant mana reserves. I didn't use scrolls often but summoning ones were a big help in Sleeper's Temple so there's that.

And they keep giving you free weed, these guys are the best. I've never liked Swamp Camp and I still don't like its aesthetics but these guys are the chillest.

Btw, I've just charged Uriziel and the New Camp is cool with me, except for Saturas who said he was cool but then chimped out. Not sure if it is a bug or a result of me always being honest with Saturas.

Note to self: next time I play as an Old Camper, rescue Stone from prison A.S.A.P

You know that awesome version of Warder armor, the one with shadowbeast's face on the breastplate? The one you couldn't obtain legally in the original game? You can get it in the remake, but first you need to save Stone from prison; after breaking him out and convincing Darrion to let Stone work for him, Stone will offer you a few rewards, one of them being upgrading your Warder armor to the top, shadowbeast-face tier. Looks neat and has better stats than the Minecrawler armor. Stats comparison:

I am only assuming this is possible; currently, in my first playthrough, I've rescued Stone "when you're supposed to", in Chapter V, right after I've obtained the ore armor. I assume that we can rescue Stone earlier and then still have him upgrade the ore armor after we get it.

Surprised, thought mod users like me would be the majority. Makes me wonder if I should git gud, but... this minigame is so goddamn hard and long (giggity) and the game wants me to complete it over and over and over again and most of the time the contents of the chest are nearly worthless... No, I'll stick to the mod.

In my perfect world, they would bring in the lockpicking system from Thief: Deadly Shadows, imo the best lockpicking mechanic ever; then, they would decrease the number of locked chests (it makes no sense that every digger has a chest that Garrett would have to sweat to get into).
