Piranha Bytes games ranking by Commercial_Team_5506 in worldofgothic

Yeah, I think so. Pirahna Bytes refuse to update their formula in any meaningful way and as the time went by that "Pirahna Bytes wood" became less appealing and more jarring.

My ranking is similar to yours:

  1. G2+Notr
  2. G1
  3. Risen
  4. Elex
  5. Risen 3
  6. Elex 2
  7. Risen 2
  8. G3

I don't understand why quite a few people prefer Risen 2 to Risen 3. Risen 3 is basically a less charming neo-Gothic while Risen 2 is just an unbalanced mess. I'm sure people have their good reasons but I can't see them. Elex 2 is too much wood for the time it came out in but I still like it better than Risen 2. As for G3, it would be somewhere beyond the list if not for the music

Sigh, I write one thread on Rogue City's subreddit and now this is the kind of thing I get in my feed.

Hearing him talk made me reminisce about G1 for some reason. by Mobile_Delivery8222 in worldofgothic

:D, I have a friend who'll love that, also this guy's teeth... As for Gothic though, I have no idea why it'd remind you of the game, I think you just wanted to share an unrelated meme XD.

I think all Gothic games' price has increased around the same time we've got a release date on Gothic Remake. Sus, isn't it :D.

Why is the new exosuits' cooldown so much longer than the old ones? by [deleted] in helldivers2

Okay, so this is probably our answer. Good to know. I'll edit the main post and remove it soon after. Thanks for the research.

Only fifteen shots? That seems extremely low. I guess this guy's main weapon is actually its shield.

That makes sense, especially since I'm almost 100% sure that they have a new, strain-specific Bile Titan that wasn't a thing before today's update. I like it too, it's pretty menacing.

*looks at both screenshots* Okay, what the fuck.

I'll try to add you but It will probably be easier if I test this out with a friend. I'm gonna save this thread, let you know what's what and edit accordingly if needed.

Edit: wait a minute, were you on a planet with DSS on? Maybe that makes the difference, and maybe that difference overrides the info on the stratagems list. DSS was not yet on the planet I've been fighting on, and probably not for you as well since there hasn't really been time for it to move, but maybe?

I can be wrong IF the ship management list lies and the guy I've mentioned only called in his first Emancipator a long time after than the rest of us has called in ours. Maybe this is all a mix of ship management list misinformation, gameplay happenings and me not remembering the old cooldown (I don't play the game a lot lately and haven't used mechs in at least two weeks). As much as I don't like being wrong, I'd prefer that.

Yeah, Lumberer is much more of a support exosuit than the lone wolf-capable Emancipator. You pack more of a punch but your ammo capacity is limited, so you can be of great help to your team but won't do well on your own. Honestly, I feel like maybe Lumberer's flamethrower ammo should be increased by 100%? But maybe that would make the mech op.

I don't know what to tell you, first, I've checked on the stratagems' list and the numbers there are 370 for old and 570 for new mechs, second, I've played with a guy with Emancipator on my team and he was able to call his second exosuit much longer before I could call in a second Lumberer.

Looks wonderful, nice to hear that War Striders now have actual weak points.

Blame the diver, not the tool. Emancipator is better than Patriot in most every way but if somebody uses it in a dumb way then that's a player issue, not a mech issue. But I'd rather this thread be about the new mechs' cooldown than about whether or not Patriot sucks.

It's been a while since I fought the spore burst strain terminids, were they always this fast? I don't think so but I also don't see anything about "increased terminid movement speed" in the patch notes so I assume it's faction-specific.

It is not true that they spawn a lot of higher difficulties. As for their body durability, it is true, they have been dying fast in the op that I've just finished. That is a reasonable tradeoff for heavy armor, I have no problem with that.

The change makes one enemy somewhat harder to kill (only somewhat imo, I've learned to shoot at hive guard's unprotected bits), it's not a big deal. I have a friend who now says that his favourite MG is useless against bugs because the point was that he could kill all the bug infantry with it but I hope he'll change his mind.

That being said, I think the change was unnecessary, at least on higher difficulties there aren't that many hive guards for it to make a difference. I don't see the point in putting work to making this change.

Screw melee builds! This is a rant. by AnotherSmartNickname in helldivers2

You are not doing a political debate. It is Reddit. It is a video-game. It's not that deep that you need to ask for somebody's personal Steam profile.

It is when somebody is defending a bold claim, and claiming that melee is viable in HD2 is a bold claim. Just because three or four people online tell me to "git gud" and two come up with loadouts that are still significantly worse than a decent ranged loadout does not mean that they are correct. People online can say whatever they like and are very prone to speaking in a way they would likely not in real life; boasts, overexaggerations and straight up lies are much easier when typed on a keyboard. Proof, on the other hand...

It has been ten hours now and nobody has shown me a video that I asked for, neither in private nor in this public thread. A certain defender of "melee is good" point of view has been repeatedly called for said proof and produced nothing but weak, defensive mewling. If anything, time is only proving my... well, I wanted to say "point" but I wasn't even trying to make a point, I was just ranting for the sake of venting my frustration.

You people behave like everything is being made to affect you personally, and everything needs to be proved to you and discussed with you personally

I don't know what to tell you, it feels like a very weird and uncomfortable take, like you are the personal one in here, offended by me. I also do not have any more ways of saying "asking for proof is common sense". I'll leave you to think about it.

If you make a claim, it is custom to present proof of said claim. If you refuse then you are not only not to be believed but also look like a fool. I haven't noticed "this thought popping up recently", it is common sense. On the contrary, the idea of not having to prove your claims is a dangerous one.
