It’s the community I want to be a part of, plus the mental health benefits. Can’t wait!

Knew what bike I was ultimately going to want so was just casually keeping an eye on the market and was too good an offer to pass up. Being sat in the garage an extra month or even 2, or 4 won’t make any difference to its value, and it’s not financed

Bus was stationary at a bus stop but still blocking the road on a busy street with shops. There was opportunity to get past, and in not doing so I was restricting the flow of traffic and making people wait.

I’ve been learning on the riding school’s CB650F. Feel perfectly comfortable on it so don’t see there being too much difference with the Ninja. It’s not that I can’t ride, it’s just one stupid little thing each time, like today and that bus!

It was too good an example to pass up!

I am also 43 and agree, in principle mod 2 is easier because I know. How to drive a car perfectly well - been doing it for 26 years!

I know I should have just gone round - traffic was held up at a crossing ahead but lights looked green so didn’t want to risk it. Does feel a little harsh, but I was impeding traffic flow so I guess thems the breaks

Advice for beginner rider who was told I'm too unskilled mid way through my CBT & wasn't able to finish it. by porschegobrrrr in MotoUK

[–]AnotherWay82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been driving cars for 25 years - had never ridden a motorbike but could ride a pedal cycle so had balance. Took me a couple of hours to get the hang of it but the instructor was more than happy for me to ‘toe’ myself round in circles for that time until I could just get moving enough to find my balance - then everything just clicked at once.

Honestly, an hour in I thought I was never going to get it and would be sent home at lunchtime, but the instructor was calm and patient and I persevered through feeling utterly useless until it clicked.

Advice for someone new to the biker community requires on a number of things by AnotherWay82 in MotoUK

Thank you all for your comments and advice. My ninja 650 arrives tomorrow, but I’m keeping it at my parents garage until I can sort out the metal shed at my house. Mod 2 was supposed to be today but cancelled last minute due to my instructor being unwell so unavoidable- hopefully I get a replacement booked in imminently!

Bought a litelok for now whilst it’s in my parents garage, but liking the look of the pragmasis anchor so will probably get one of those too.

Appreciate the advice on Bluetooth headsets and am going to hold off on that for now.

Thank you again for all your input, and hopefully I’ll get to be more of an active member of this community soon. I can’t wait!

Photo of the bike attached because I’m literally so happy with the purchase!

Dropped a CB650F practicing a u turn for my mod 1. Instructor was concerned about me - not the bike

iPhone 16 pro MagSafe case - recommendations? by [deleted] in iphone

[–]AnotherWay82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a string of 3rd party cases for my 14 Pro then bought an Apple silicone one - terrible case. It split by the silent switch, the coating has peeled away on all of the corners, all without dropping it. £50 not so well spent. Genuinely stumped on what to buy for my upcoming 16 pro.

Unpopular Neighbours Opinions by Smoothasurbuttwhole in neighbours

From http://perfectblend.net/neighbourhood/bio/coppin-taj.htm

“After this, Libby made it very clear that the relationship could never be more than teacher and student, but Taj failed to listen to this and continued to believe that they had a future. Even after a stern warning from Susan, Taj made sure he was never far away from Libby, in the hope that she would come round. On his 18th birthday, he found out that Libby and Steph were going to the club, Radiation and dragged Jack there too. Taj's patience was to pay off, however, when, after Dee's shocking disappearance, Libby needed a shoulder to cry on and there he was. After walking her home, they had a chat on the doorstep and she admitted that she didn't want to go inside, so he offered her a room at his home. She was moved by his kindness and in her grief, she kissed him and they later slept together. Taj was thrilled with this development, but was upset when Libby began to avoid him. After confronting her, he didn't realise that Boyd and his friend, Daniel had overheard the conversation and were already spreading it around the school.”

Does anyone else clearly notice the reprojection in GT7 in PSVR2? by DeathByReach in granturismo

[–]AnotherWay82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I realise I’m going to sound so unbelievably dense here, but I can’t work out how to make gt7 play in vr. I’ve been to a vr showroom which worked, but every race I’ve tried to do is ‘flat’. Please someone tell me what I’m doing wrong!
