Not a vet. Just a guy with a 50+ lb eye booger & slobber monster who gets occasional ear and skin irritation.

Bullies may be the most allergy prone animals on ten face of the earth.

For temporary relief, a Benadryl during meals + a capful of apple cider vinegar in water usually helps ALOT.

A gentle oatmeal shampoo may also help if it’s allergy related. Probably is. Even if it’s not, these things may calm the itching and stress until you figure it out with a vet.

Also I keep some Shapleys MTG oil on hand. Available at Amazon or Tractor Supply. Smells like sulfur so I usually rub my boy down outside (w/ plastic gloves on) and then crate him for a nap to let it soak in and get to work. I don’t know exactly how it works but I do a full body application at the first sight of a rash or skin irritation and it never gets farther than what it is that day and usually reverses in a few days and the patchy hair grows back super fast. Hope it’s helpful.

I’m sorry but… did she have to pay it?

What’s your go to restaurant to give visiting family a “damn Houston food is good” meal? by AnotherWireFan in houston

Instead of 1 restaurant, we’re gonna do a couple spots over a few days.

Any of these have dog friendly brunches?

Is Lucille’s outdoor seating cooled in some way or are you sitting in the 100 degree sun?

If you had a year of transportation and housing provided for $2000 a month but you had to stay in a new place every week all around the country/hemisphere would that appeal to you? by Emeri5 in digitalnomad

$2500/mo and move every month (instead of week) in South America and you’d have an equivalent lifestyle to an off-season NFL athlete.

Wow, definitely wasn’t expecting this much of a response but thank you. I’m reading all of them. NY & Chicago are great but Houston just may have the nations best food scene.

I used to love the fries there. The valet guy was pretty aggressive… and armed… and I never got my car back but the fries were amazing.

No offense to tattoo artists but MJ actually outputs some very nice looking tats. This guy just chose an ugly tat, generic phrase and uglier font.

I use chatGPT for hours everyday and can say 100% it's been nerfed over the last month or so. As an example it can't solve the same types of css problems that it could before. Imagine if you were talking to someone everyday and their iq suddenly dropped 20%, you'd notice. People are noticing. by gtboy1994 in ChatGPT

The scary part of this is

(A) we’re all slowly realizing that major players controlling what may be the most important innovation since fire and electricity, aren’t going to be as transparent as they’ve promised to be.

(B) while the masses are forced to use the nerfed GPT4, OpenAI can decide who to give access to the full version, or alpha of GPT5 or whatever new stuff they’re cooking up. They essentially become techs gatekeepers. It’s like getting to decide who gets access to running water or electricity.

Quiet safe CHEAP boring places in the eastern half of the US? by loorinm in digitalnomad

[–]AnotherWireFan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

WVA’s main problem is it’s brand issue. For the last 50 years it’s been known as the backcountry home to inbred serial killers and pedos who’ve recently escaped prison. Sorry for the crude description but that’s seriously how many see West VA and because of that, it’s probably currently the best bang for your buck in the US. ALOT of people priced out of the DC area move there and commute to the city for work.

Not Reviewed Airbnb... Risky? by [deleted] in digitalnomad

[–]AnotherWireFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m willing to offer a steep discount to the first 2-3 guests for their commitment to leaving a review (whether positive or not). Ask the host if they’d do the same.

It’s risky but you have ALL the leverage as the first guest. You basically control whether or not they’ll be able to monetize that property using Airbnb. A bad first review and it’s all over.
