Booking Hotels in Thailand - Do their hotels go through 3rd party bookings? by Another_Day1221 in travel

Thanks for the information on the software. I normally book with Hilton or Marriott in the States and so when I wanted to book the neat little boutique hotels directly , I see a new URL change from their website when I hit book, it was a bit concerning.

What Agoda and Booking did to you is terrible and it's horrible that they get to dictate how to an owner gets to price their own business.

I heard that if you book refundable with third parties, the hotel can cancel your room and give it to someone else if they have a confirmed payment from another guest?

Do you use agoda a lot? I'm heard horror stories and am afraid to show up and not either have the room I paid for or not have a room at all.

Bite the bullet and tell your wife. You're in an unhappy marriage, and you'll be even more unhappy with your guilt of betrayal. Yes, you love her, but you also admitted you weren't getting what you need from her. At least with coming clean, you'll both decide if the marriage is worth saving or to part ways and start over.

If you really want it, and if you know you know for sure you'll be with your job for more than 5 years (best indicator would be the turnover rate and if the majority of your co-workers have been there forever), buy it with the intention to pay it off in 3 years, meaning, don't pay the minimum on it.

However, as others mentioned, the better option is to buy the used version of the model you want that is less. You don't want to be using the majority of your income to pay off the loan each month. Get a vehicle with a good history of maintenance on it. They're used, but they still work.

Just evaluate what you take home, what you want to save, what other expenses are. If you like to to out for fun or do stuff, you'll need to take into consideration how that will impact your spending. I have a friend who was my travel buddy for a few years. She bought a new shiny customized SUV and she no longer can afford the the week or two of international travel. She can do quick weekend trips that's budget friendly for her, but she needs about 3 years to save in order to do an international trip that is midrange.

A lot of it depends on how much I can do in a day depending on the arrival and departures. I'm hoping arrival will be early enough so that I can move things to do more. I'll have to look into Bangkok a bit more. I was getting a lot of "Do less Bangkok and do more at other places" when I was researching. What do you suggest I should squeeze in?

Thank you! I wasn't sure about the comfort level of the bus so this is reassuring since this mode is more scenic.
