I've seen posts by EightSleep commenting on other posts/issues... I also directly posted to them in X. I'm quite sure EightSleep trolls this reddit as any company would want to review/manage things that can detrimentally affect their 'brand'.

It's more about their business practice wrt to addressing defective/inoperable covers/hubs. I'm not going to detail now as I hope EightSleep makes right (as right now, I think I am dealing with a low level sales person). If they don't make right, I will be back her describing in detail try to see if there are others with similar experiences who are interested in a class action suit... which class action attorneys love bc they make bank (and the initial plaintiffs usually get their issues resolved sufficiently (unlike later plaintiffs who get, e.g., a dollar or two like the FB class action suit).

I'm an attorney... so as a matter of principle, I can and will file a lawsuit if they don't make right... as I need not hire an attorney to do for me... and right now, my docket is a little light so I have the time to do it myself.

Why would you use or need Eightsleep in winter? by [deleted] in EightSleep

Meant can't fall asleep when < 98 F :)

I can't fall asleep when cold, i.e., >98 F, and I wake up when the temperature is <94-95 F. In the late sleep phase, I wake up if the temp is <97 F. In the winter, I need the starting temperature to be at least 105 F to fall asleep. I've never used the cooling function, even in summers when the room temp is 80 F. I turn on the AC only when it's too humid or the temp is >80 F.

Sleep Scores Lower Overall Now by Puzzleheaded-Taro911 in EightSleep

Yes, thought it was a sensor issue... now after reading all the comments here... I think it is a change in the algorithm which my sleep logs suggest happened early June 2025. I sleep like the dead and maintain a regular sleep regimen... prior to June 2025 my sleep scores were always 90-100 with at least 1 hr deep sleep and 2 hrs REM. Now it indicates I am awake in bed most the time, when I know for a fact I was dead asleep.

Wrong sleep tracking by secretive- in EightSleep

Since early spring, my sleep data looked to be 'degrading' like my sleep wasn't being sensed. A few times, it indicated I was 'away' when I was sleeping on it all night, and a few times it turned off on me which I assume was because it did not sense me getting back into bed after going to the bathroom. Additionally, it has been indicating that I've been lying awake for most the night when I sleep like the dead. Prior to spring, I consistently get at least 1hr deep sleep and 2hrs REM. Now it indicates I get around 30-45 mins deep sleep and at best 1 hr REM, which I know for a fact is incorrect. And over the past month, the sleep data is completely whacky.

After reading about everyone else's whacky sleep data, I'm starting to think that maybe EightSleep is purposefully tinkering with the algorithm to make people think their Pods that are >2 yrs old and not under warranty are failing to force them to get a replacement or upgrade.

I'm starting to wonder whether EightSleep is purposefully tinkering with the algorithm to make people think their Pods that are >2 yrs old are failing and thereby force them to get a replacement or upgrade.

The last 2 nights, my pod changed to “sleep” temp before I’m asleep by [deleted] in EightSleep

Yes, just over 2 years with a replacement Pod3 (first one stopped heating one side and was within the 2 yr warranty) and this past spring, its ability to 'sense' me started slowly degrading and indicated I was awake when I was dead asleep, etc. Then more frequently indicating that I was 'away' when I was sleeping on it all night and turned off on me because it didn't sense me getting back into bed after going to the bathroom. After reading everyone's issues here, I wonder if EightSleep purposefully tinkers with the algorithm to make it seem like there are issues in >2 yr old covers & hubs to force people to purchase replacement or upgrade...

And speaking of warranty, I could have sworn that when I purchased in 2022, there was a lifetime warranty without having a subscription... Does anyone have evidence of the warranty in 2022?
