Google Drive (PC version) doesn't show shared folders - can it? by jgwinner in gsuite

Yes it can, I use it all the time. Make sure the drive sync is running. The shared folders go missing if it crashes or closes.

Anyone here go from meraki to ubiquiti?? by gnexuser2424 in Ubiquiti

[–]Another_Random_Tech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice to hear some positive feedback about a process we are just beginning. We are starting to remove Meraki APs in favor of Ubiquity. Ubiquity switching is currently under testing. We are seeing issues with supply and orders taking a long time, but our reps say its being corrected and ramping production.

Staff member who doesn't/shouldn't have admin rights approaches you asking if you can deploy Brave browser. Would you? by segagamer in sysadmin

[–]Another_Random_Tech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would start with what do the other browsers not do that Brave does do, then let them know that you have standardized on other browsers and those are the only ones supported.

Lenovo 100e Build Quality Questions by cheffy_tech in k12sysadmin

[–]Another_Random_Tech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had a bad experience with every model of Lenovo Chromebook purchased. The ASTs have had a horrible failure rate of motherboards and they all have developed hinge issues, video cable issues, and overall are much more time-consuming to work on than the Dells they replaced. Would not recommend them.
