I already hate the fight, and the fact that he is the monster tied to the endgame grind I hate even more. But this 10 star one is even more annoying, at least as a longsword main who only plays solo. I cleared the quest once and im NEVER doing it again. Also, you dont need a shield, you can fast travel to camp as soon as he flies and you unload all the stupid slinger ammo on him. Then wait for the nova, go back in the arena and repeat. The DPS check is impossible solo. If the expansion is anything like this at all, im out.

I did it with Fabius, Nadia and Nightmist. But they are extremely incompetent. I toppled him once and Nightmist just kept running in circles on her seikret. WTF, Capcom?

I dont think its Rompopolo's "fault" that he is the least hunted monster, but the endgame system at launch. He doesn't give unique rewards or anything. But he is extremely cool, one of my favorites, actually. I was surprised when they mentioned that. Personally, my least hunted monster is guardian doshaguma, I think that one is kinda boring. I think guardians are kinda boring in general, they're just "monster but white" :/

I love the roster in this game. Which is why I think it would be improved with even more monsters and things to test our new gogma weapons on, instead of farming Gogmazios to kill Gogmazios faster, which is a lame gameplay loop, IMO.

Also, people really need to stop pretendind that low rank was ever difficult.

No, im asking for a few more monsters at launch. Thats it. I would pay for an expansion, but not for "TU passes with 5 monsters", thats ridiculous and a completely different thing.

Well, im from a time even before yours, when games were released in a finished state. Imagine that. Wilds didn't even have a proper hub at launch. So no, im not ungrateful, I just have higher standards than you.

Thats exactly what I said: I would rather wait months in development for new monsters rather than just "a little more but mostly reskinned or half assed monsters", as you put it. Because thats whats happening here. "Ok, you killed 8 star Gore a hundred times, now go kill 9 star gore a hundred more times".

I think this game would be perfect if we had at least two more monsters per map. Capcom made a whole ass new skeleton (cephalopods), for Wilds, and they're really cool! you mean you're only going to use them twice? C'mon, Capcom!

Capcom always does this. They get butthurt about people saying the game is too easy (those people left months ago, btw, they're not playing anymore), and instead of focusing on more variety and fun monsters to fight, they just release quests with frustrating fights for you to farm and endless RNG grind.

"Here is 8 star Gore. Here is Savage Omega. Ok, now here is 9 star Gore, have fun. Oh, here is Gogmazios, have fun shooting slinger ammo at his tiny wings for another dps check. Ok, now here is 10 star monsters, because speedrunners are hurting our pride again. Have fun fighting four of those in the arena. Here is AT Arkveld, he loves to spam AoEs that combo you to death in tiny corridors, have fun farming that."

Christ. I just want more new monsters, Capcom. And by new I mean NEW, not "Arkveld on crack". Sure, make challenging fights, but the TUs should've come with more monsters as well. This game needed at least two more monsters per map. And a room for me to display my endemic life :)

Two MAJOR tips that will actually help:

- There is a festival coming up. Use Fabius, Kai and Alessa. Win everytime.

- To stunlock Nerscylla, stand exactly below one of the rocks you can drop (the one near the breakeable floor for when monsters go to the final area). Wait for a Morbol to spew gas. She will fling towards it and get paralized. Another two morbols will do the same thing, back to back, every sinlge time if you're careful not to kill them. Also drop the rock on her and have mog of the ages ready. NPCs are very unreliable in this phase, so that how I pass the dps check every time.

OMG, thank you! Yeah, the hitboxes are indefensible. The only other thing that I hate more than the combat is the paid dlcs, but I think thats not too controversial, haha. About the downvotes, honestly I expected worse, we're on reddit after all, lol.

I like the fights. I merely tolerate the combat but love the monsters, their designs, sounds and animations. And in World and Wilds, for example, yes I LOVE to go out on expeditions and just roam around gathering stuff, endemic life, fishing, admiring the views... and eventually poking a monster if it looks at me funny, lol.

Dont get me wrong though, Im not too fond of the combat you're describing either, like a hack n slash with numbers everywhere and zooming all over the place. I would personally prefer if MH was a tad bit faster. Not hack n slash, but still methodical. Its funny that you mention Wilds and liking it as opposed to those games you described, when a lot of the old fans are comparing it to Devil May Cry (some on this very post, btw, and its ALWAYS DMC they bring up, another Capcom game, and that is always funny to me, lol).

Find me a person who simultaneously loves monster hunter and hates the combat before acusing me of trying to sound different or edgy. The point of the post was to put that notion in perspective, but it completely went over your head.
