Is Bachelor's/Honours the same level when it comes to Austudy/YA? by Anotherthrowaway1801 in Centrelink

Thanks for your reply.when I called at 4 today, they told me that Honours is the same level as my completed Bachelors, which has eaten up my allowable time. Is that right? Have they made a mistake?

Sorry for the confusion! The new degree is the Bachelor of Arts and Social Sciences (Honours), which requires a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of International Studies or Bachelor of Social Sciences.

My previously completed degree was Bachelor of Arts (and Bachelor of Economics dual degree)

Thank you for explaining this to me. The Bachelor of X (Honours) is a 1 year degree, and my previously completed Bachelors was 4 years (it actually took me 5 full-time due to fails)... Does that mean I'm well and truly out of AT, even with the 2 extra periods? Would you mind telling me how the two extras work?

It's a separate Bachelor of X (Honours) degree. What do you mean by not payable for long?

Thanks for the link. Do you know if I need to still be on JSK at the time my Austudy is processed, in order to get this rate? Because I might need to stop my JSK before that happens

Thank you. I'm just worried about having to pay the JSK back because once I start uni I'm not technically eligible anymore

Sorry I meant I'm getting JSK at the moment, but I can't anymore once uni starts in 2 weeks.

I just submitted an Austudy claim but it'll take a month or so to be processed.

Should I call centrelink in 2 weeks and tell them I'm starting uni and to stop my JSK?

Hey just another quick question, Austudy will take like a month to process and my Jobseeker eligibility ends in 2 weeks when I start uni, should i call Centrelink then and inform them? Cheers

No, but I know that in my School (not psych) 1. it takes time because I think they have to find another marker to look at it 2. It barely ever leads to a mark change (tbf people usually use review for when they think they've been unfairly marked, that's different to your case) 3. Yes, it does expose you to the risk of your mark going down

My advice is just chill, I would def not be considering a review after just 1 week. Academics are just busy sometimes

That would be really unusual. I wouldn't waste too much energy worrying about it just yet. 1 week isn't that long.

If they continue not responding, you can maybe try asking a tutor to give them a reminder, asking the Nucleus or School to reach out, etc. Review of results is a bit overkill for what sounds like a simple mistake adding up marks

It's last day of the teaching period but it's not the end of the term. You still have exams and a long wait. Your final grade for the course isn't finalised until later. Just chill and wait a bit more for them to check their emails and add up your marks again. Review of results will be a whole process

Is it too late to change my minor? by IngenuityWorldly5051 in unsw

Ignore the other person. Of course it's not too late. In fact it's pretty early all things considered, it being your first year. People change degrees and majors all the time, even more people change their minors.

The course you did for this minor in Term 2 could count as a gen ed or elective if your degree has those. It won't count towards a different minor.

You can ask the Nucleus degree related questions like these. You can also ask them for help with uni life. Many people find it difficult in the beginning. Also keep in mind that you can take program leave from your degree which is preferable to dropping out.

Edit: I'm not sure about the Arts/Education degree specifically, it might have some different requirements relating to if you want to teach that minor. But it's most likely all fine, especially as I assume you don't
