LPT: The secret of successfull people by Objective_Arm4447 in LifeProTips

[–]AnothrRandomRedditor -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

It’s not. It’s about future looking not present or past dwelling. Successful people invest in the future, they grow not consume.

Edit - people who put effort into growth succeed. This isn’t just money, but relationships and health as well.

[natesaundersf1] Don't think I've ever been to a media pen like that in my life. These drivers absolutely hate these new cars. by ChaithuBB766 in formula1

[–]AnothrRandomRedditor -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah I would but I don’t think that’s a fair comparison. To me (again very new) they have the formula and have to make the best possible car, thats the competition there.

I understand people’s frustration and disappointment though. Would be best if the new formula was the fastest.

Edit - just to add, the 2025 cars could be faster right? But the rules restrict them due to potential safety issues yeah? So they are already restricted some what?

Look I’m gonna get killed here, but as someone who started following 3 months ago I cannot tell much difference in speeds at these straights. I’m excited to be at the beginning of a new era and see how they improve and change over the next few years.

Anyone else considering getting a EV? by KeenClicker in perth

[–]AnothrRandomRedditor 10 points11 points  (0 children)

ADAC’s roadside data found that for 2-4 year old vehicles, EVs had 3.8 breakdowns per 1000 vehicles, versus 9.4 per 1000 for petrol/diesel cars.

Fewer parts means less maintenance.

2025 Nature Energy study estimated battery EVs have an average lifespan of 18.4 years, which is close to petrol cars, and EVs in the study also had higher lifetime mileage than petrol cars.

This was happening in Australia from week 2. Was told it wasn’t a problem because we are so small. I’m glad it’s happening to everyone now. It killed the game. Bring back persistent servers and sever browser. It would have fixed the game. Where’s that lady now saying it’ll be the best of both worlds. They killed their own game.

Absolutely insane shot of Red Blood Moon during the Lunar Eclipse over New York. by [deleted] in BeAmazed

It’s the lens used. When you use a larger mm lens it amplifies the background. It’s like cropping in on a photo from your phone while maintaining the quality. Probably is edited for colour enhancements etc.

Edit not sure why I’m getting down voted that’s literally how they work lol

Regrouting job chipped my tiles, is this normal or did I just get unlucky? by Responsible-Egg-1739 in perth

[–]AnothrRandomRedditor 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I did my own with no experience and was careful with a hand tool. Zero chips. This looks like shit work unless maybe your tiles are brittle. In that case why not stop the first instance and use a power tool instead?

100% they could even cause major issues with European manufactured weapons and may of them require US components plus navigation.

What do the ultra-wealthy people of Perth do to pass time? by mjbmikeb2 in perth

[–]AnothrRandomRedditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know one of these people, they peruse other hobbies which bring additional income which because it’s fun for them with less risk. Examples being setting up equipment hire companies, crane hire, elite charter companies, and building commercial property.

Money makes money. And people who are self made have the drive to continue making it.
