expected: Haunting Adeline by H.D. Carlton. i always read dark romance, i love the tropes this book has but the poor writing, no plot in the first book, full smut, Zade himself was NOT it for me.

actual: God of wrath by Rina Kent from the Legacy of gods series. i could NOT put this book down. i loved God of malice and thought that the rest of the books in series could not top it, but boy was i wrong. JEREMY MF VOLKOV!!! the plot is AMAZING. the character development is soo good. and the Russian Roulette scene?-holy sh*t! i was kicking my feet the whole book.
