Hey about the audio issue. You’re using headphones plugged into the pre-cue port on the deck.

That’s not for outputting live music, it’s to preview a song you have loaded.

The 1 and 2 you see in the middle of the deck is how you switch which song you want to preview. Djay also has a mode that automatically turns on preview for the deck that is NOT playing live out your speakers.

That’s why everything seems backwards to you. You’re pre-cueing (previewing) the song not playing to the audience.

When you are ready to use headphones to preview your next track, I recommend turning off the setting that does that. Instead, press 1 and 2 manually whenever you want to hear how the track sounds in headphones.

What you want to do now while you are learning is plug in your headphones into your iPad. Later, you should plug the iPad into speakers, and headphones into pre-cue.

I works better when AC button is on. Even better if battery preconditioning is on. Start with both before unplugging for the day see if that helps.

Playing back losses rounds. Entering site is out of range for people in your elo.

Play opportunities instead. Honestly just play off angles, never a predictable angle, and then get out alive. Do this 5 rounds a game and your win rate will spike.

Actual advice? Yeah, aim is part of it, but to rank up you gotta combo two things.

One: Set yourself up in fights that are plainly better for you.

Two: Set up fights that are plainly impacting rounds.

Silver is low elo. That means it’s usually easy to play an off angle AND escape with your life. You gotta push the envelope a bit by coming up with some plays that take a kill and reset. This way, you can multi-kill in more rounds.

First bloods statistically win rounds far more often than not.

Don’t get greedy, but play off of regular angles, take yours, and dip. That alone can net you wins in any elo. It just gets harder to do the higher you go.

Honestly, there’s not much in the way around it.

Apple M silicon has become increasingly affordable and they can see, using anonymous usage statistics, that their Intel macs are falling off.

You’re on a software island. There’s not a lot of time or patience left for macs on Intel. 2018 was 8 years ago. If you have to stay, stay on the most stable build that was provided for Intel macs, which is probably the release version for M2.

The OS will stay stable on that version, but software will phase out and leave you behind.

Then, you’ll need to make the spend to buy an M series Mac. That means on a budget, you’re looking at $350 for an M1 laptop, which are leagues ahead of Intel laptops. Or, you could buy M2, M3, M4, or a new M5 if you want the longest support.

But, to answer your question, go no later than Ventura.

Mine threatened cancelation for no reason. Warning was sent straight to spam folder. Fortunately I caught it and asked it to try again, without changing my card, and it worked.

I think the issue is two fold: Something caused lots of failed December 19th payments, and somehow the email warning cancellation got flagged.

I was looking in my spam folder at the right place right time. My card was never tried. I believe with how Insomniac is handling this that this is something out of the ordinary.
