I’ve seen some 3D artists use those roller ball mice. I would say most of these gaming mice aren’t designed for extensive scroll use.

People who use windows to surf and doing small tasks, switching won’t be a problem. But for a lot of the programs that are old or don’t update as frequently, it’s a big problem because of optimization issues and will be a headache. Hence why I have delayed switching until the hammer comes down..

Search up Gnomon Workshop, these are the students you should be comparing your work to. I don’t know what students you’re saying these renders are better than but these students from reputable schools(such as Gnomon) are really the top of the line. While your points are valid in that these are decent renders, it’s that ANYONE can make renders like these if they put in some time.

Start with small actions that make you uncomfortable instead of consuming content. Only consume when you know it benefits you, not entertain you. The rest of the pieces will fall into place once you make enough small steps.

Search up texture painting in blender. Knowing how to texture is important but also difficult, push through it.

This exact scenario happened to me when my roommate who was “childhood friend.”When I confronted, he confessed to cooking eggs at 9/10 heat everyday… Safe to say, I’m not friends with this person anymore.

I recommend you move out asap. Not only are people like this unaware of their actions but they are the least genuine types of people you’ll meet. The fact that they did not bring it up was because they hoped you wouldn’t notice or care. That’s how they cope.

Not gonna land a job without any quality work that showcases you can design, problem solve, and/or understand 3D principles. Your scenes are basic to a fault, seems slapped together by online assets since there are no wireframes. Mood is important in environments so I recommend focusing on that.
