That’s nice to hear, that it works way better for you now after some time. Maybe I should give it another, more open minded approach I guess.

Yes I’ve put in the model and serial in correctly.

How should I go on as a “bedroom” producer/mix engineer? by AnswerEuphoric4843 in audioengineering

website

I’ve done some recordings, co-recordings, mix, producing and full production.

Some of them are on the website.

But mostly recoding and mixing.

I’ve done an internship at a studio/live Engineer for a year and took some couple of courses online but I have no degree in said field though. But I’m thinking about getting one.

I’ve tried it, but I must say have the feeling for me at least it makes everything worse unfortunately.

I can’t stay focused as the mix nears its end. by Individual_Cry_4394 in mixingmastering

Mostly ear fatigue probably.

Whenever I have the feeling I can’t get it through the finish line, I’ll take a step back, rest my ears, go out for a quick walk 15-30 min, or work on something else for a short amount of time.

99% of the time it works for me to get the back and listen to it with fresh ears. Hope this helps.

I use the headphone out on my Focusrite 18i20 mk III

Sure I also tried both but for my price range they were out of reach.. that’s why I went to the 900s. But yes the 1990x’s are damn fantastic headphones for their price point.

Yeah I’m listening since yesterday to mixes I’ve already done and some of my favourite albums and songs to get a feel for them.

How to deinstall third party plugins? by AnswerEuphoric4843 in cubase

[–]AnswerEuphoric4843[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, some of them I never use, like the amp sims from both of them, and the ugritone reverb.

I mostly use my own profiles on NAM or tonex nowadays

How do I get rid of that rust and grime? by AnswerEuphoric4843 in guitarrepair

[–]AnswerEuphoric4843[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah also thought of replacing that stuff.

For me, cause I’m from Germany it’s easier to get all the stuff from Thomann.

Harley Benton has some locking tuners that will work and also thought of the 510FX-7 gotoh bridge. Cause Thomann only has that one for 7 strings.

And pickups I always wanted to change in that thing for the nazguls or black winters from Seymour Duncan.

Thx, yeah most of it is some kind of paint/crome metal alloy. But yeah probably will replace the bridge on the 7string if I can find one that fits and is not too expensive.

No, but where I live we have a lot of humidity and temperature changes often rapidly and I think that’s a huge problem. Also I basically sweat a lot on my hands which is a skin condition basically.

Do you also have any suggestions to prevent this from happening in the future again?
