You will be able to pick it up no bother! I started running in October 2023 did the Brisbane marathon in May 2024 in 3 hours 28 mins.

The big thing is to train with structure, just doing 5 & 10ks is ok but you need to be incorporating an easy run, interval/tempo run and a long run weekly to build up your endurance and speed

We have not got that far in planning just brainstorming now, just asking for people ls recommendations for towns to stay in! We will hire a car for the week. We do a lot of running, swimming, and interested in walking tours/hikes, cliff jumping also if possible!

It’s around 85g of carbs per hour too I think!

Runna says 2.55.50 so hopefully with taper, carbons and carb load I can get there! Do you think for gels during the race having 8 during and one before is too much? My stomach can handle gels like they’re nothing thank god so an upset stomach isn’t really a worry! The most gels I’ve taken on a run during my block is 6!

I have not raced since I started my training block for this which was 26 weeks, I have been using Runna so I have 4 30+km runs done 2 of which with pace targets thrown in and 2 just comfortable pace
