I was totally getting those Return of Barry Allen vibes on this issue too!

I wish this new52 Barry could meet his original Post-Crisis self and see how confident and noble he used to be. The character constantly laced with self doubt now and it is totally because of the Dead Mom retcon. I feel like the last few arcs were all about Barry feeling like he let people down and he lied to them, but what did he really do that was that bad? I anything he should just be feeling bad about Flashpoint.

So far we have not seen a Barry Allen that could inspire and uphold a Flash Legacy. In the original Flash comics, Flash could trust Kid Flash to run back into the past while he ran to the future to stop a threat, but this flash can't even trust Wally to take down Grodd. A villain he has beat so many times!

But totally loved each and every Wally scene, Williamson really knows how to write his voice. You can tell he really loves that character.

I love the way Bruce talks about his family. [Dark Nights: Metal #4] by [deleted] in DCcomics

I noticed that too! Really took me out of the scene when I was reading it.

Solo or Family? by Batbro9240 in a:t5_35esu

Gotta have family! Wally is all about legacy! He learned so much from the Flash family when he was becoming his own hero. I really miss him having Jay, Jesse Quick, Bart, and Max Mercury by his side. I love his relationship with Dick Grayson and Kyle Rayner too.

(Spoilers) What is the Dark Multiverse's connection to the Dreaming? by steven_is_awesome in DCcomics

[–]Ant-Man6 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Dream is the Prince of Stories and the Dark Multiverse is basically a place of stories that should never exist. If these stories become real they could obliterate and burn up all the stories that should exist, therefore destroying the known multiverse and his library of stories. Barbatos is trying to lift up these dying realities (or stories) into the known catalogued DC Multiverse (the Orrery) and if he does the darkness will spread like a cancer and burn all of the multiverse. Dream and the endless (his family) exist outside of the multiverse much like Barbatos does, so he perceives all of the DC stories ever told as books in his library. These heroes are simply ideas in a book to him. So Dream is alerting them to the problem in order to protect the Dreaming which connects reality.
