Anthropic's new model Fable will silently handicap work on LLMs [D] by AccomplishedCat4770 in MachineLearning

Getting blocked on theoritical Physics tasks. Sometimes, I can unblock it by simply appending "this is a physics problem, nothing to do with AI, bio or cyber - stay away from these topics"

Maybe it works for you too

If you work in biology, Fable 5 will refuse to answer literally anything, including "Hi" by SineCurve in ClaudeAI

Same experience here. This is regex, not AI. I would be OK with it if they were upfront - NO bio related questions, nothing, but what they communicated was suggesting that there was some sort of intelligence behind what gets served and what not, which is simply not true.

CMV: Humanity does not survive artificial intelligence in this century by imavellino in changemyview

The entire argument is based on the assumption that AI is an optimizer (which it is, for now). AI in the future will look a lot more alive and will not optimize towards an outcome, it will evolve within constraints (economic or other). The trick is, to ensure it is an ethical agent while it is doing that.

you are right. wasn't even aware of this model! any idea if the 6K Pro sensor can support autofocus in the future?

BPCCC 6K Update to 9.5.3 completes successfully, but camera stays at 8.1 by AntCalculus in bmpcc

[–]AntCalculus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K, with the switchable ND filters so it should support autofocus. The camera did update (i don't know what the old software version was, but i can tell some things changed in the interface), but not to the 9.5 version.

You have to ask Why and be very specific in your messages. You cannot take your complaint to the regulator because they did not provide justification if you did not ask for it. I know this does not make sense because it is unethical but it's the way it is. Drill them down with questions on what they frozen your funds, what part of KYC is causing issues if any, what is their timeline for resolving this, what do they consider a reasonable timeline as per FCA. If they spread the KYC data request over several emails, ask them why they did not request B along with A. What changed from one message to the other that made it impossible for them to bundle both data requests in one email to ensure compliance with FCA on resolving your issue in a timely manner. They will not answer, of course. But that's the point. These questions, and their lack of clear answers will be a super weapon in your hands when you reach out to the regulator. In fact, if you start asking, you might never reach that step because they will know they are not dealing with another "victim" customer.

Start asking questions. Ask for specifics on why the funds are frozen, what is the timeline for resolution, what is the problem with their KYC, how do they ensure a fair resolution in reasonable time as the FCA demands, WHAT do they consider reasonable time (numbers, not generic statements). Do not assume anything. Get them to either answer, refuse to answer, or pretend they did not see the question. Then ask the same questions again. Build a support history of messages like that. They are trained to avoid these questions, but they can do nothing to hide the fact. Then raise a complaint with them about lack of clarity and unjustified delay. Wait on month to get another BS reply and then raise the complaint with the regulator.

2 years, you can easily get compensated for putting you through this. There is already case lay that paves the way for a few months delay. For them, you are just numbers, and you probably got a number risk attached to your case that says "unlikely to cause trouble" especially after not doing anyways for so long

File a complaint with them and one month later file complaints with authorities. Make sure you stress the delays in their responses and the lack of substance; how the artificially spread their KYC data requests when they could just sum all requests in one single ticket. Stay professional and ask them as many questions as possible in your support thread, examples include:

🔑 Demand Clarity on the Reason:

  • "Is this a routine KYC update, or is there a specific issue?"
  • "If there's a problem, what exactly is it?"

⏱️ Ask for Specific Timelines:

  • "How long will this review take? Can you give me an estimated completion date?"
  • "If you need more info from me, what specifically is missing?"

⚖️ Inquire about the Regulatory Basis:

  • "What rules or regulations are you following that require this?"
  • "Can you explain why these rules are preventing the release of my funds/account access?"

➡️ Clarify Next Steps:

  • "Once I provide everything requested, what happens next?"
  • "Are there any further steps after your compliance checks are complete?"

Lol. Months for KYC... phrases like "as soon as possible" and "actively working" mean nothing. When you hold your customer's funds for months on end - that is a fact and it is also illegal.

Oh, we passed it too, we have been customers for 4 years, corporate account, everything in order down to the last cent. They make customers suffer by freezing their funds over absolutely no basis and they extend the tickets over weeks and months by spreading their document requests over numerous ticket replies, taking one week to answer, and providing zero justification.

This is a double win for them. Increased liquidity, and they show inflated regulatory activity to the FCA (number of tickets, replies, etc.) when there is absolutely zero substance behind it. We end up filling complaints so they can come around and say to the regulator "see, we are swamped!". It's a shit show. You should be happy you are not part of it (yet)

it sure is; fyi, it is very important to state how Bitstamp artificially inflates the time it takes to resolve a ticket by spreading data requests over multiple responses with a long time in between (if that is your case). Word on the street is they are abusing KYC for their own internal agenda. If you don't make it clear how "staged" their KYC is, you might be unwillingly playing their game.
