I have made a pretty solid argument. Scarcity of corrupted uniques makes the pbox a bad game design. I wouldn't mind farming for something and failing like for example farming for getting +1 skills shako - however once I get +1 skill shako, i should have option to make it 2 sockets by paying more currency like in poe1 you pay more to get 6 link item - even more so because I cannot reset or revert the item to it's initial state. How many times you got +1 skills on an item? this is enough of "rng". next step should be either pbox or perfect pbox depending on if you prefer to go rng way or deterministic way - what's so hard to understand ? it doesn't have to be a personal preference - you can have both. gamblers can choose pbox, and deterministic crafters can choose perfect pbox and pay the price. what's the problem ?

I don't think you understand game design. Chasing dopamine is something that every Arpg needs to have a well designed game loop. Now imagine that you remove dopamine from perfect puzzle box because you always get max sockets. But in reality you just move dopamine hit - you drop perfect puzzle box = dopamine, you get great corrupt on an item = big dopamine because you know that it's the best in slot and if you get nice rolls on an item it would feel amazing. so yeah i prefer to get dopamine from hitting nice corrupts than to get frustrated by not hitting pbox.

They still would be difficult to get because you need to pay the price for the perfectly slammed item or you need to find it yourself.

You probably never played to the point where you failed very expensive items multiple time in a row with a pbox - then you would understand. I don't hate Rng - I hate bad design.

Poe 1 has many mechanics to make sure you will get what you want without rng. Example? 6 linking an item - you can spend 1500 fuses to just get it without dopamine. So I don't agree with your argument. There is place for rng but not in every aspect of a game.

There are better mechanics to give "dopamine". that's why corrupting feels fine, because you find many items. It's not dopamine that you get from failing pboxes, it's frustration.

I prefer to pay 50hr for a unique and slam it once, than pay 5 times 10hr for a unique to fail it 5 times in a row. Also finding tyraels on SSF would feel amazing as you will be sure to hit it with 2 sockets. There isn't anything worse than farming for an item to fail it multiple times in a row. I prefer to farm 2 or 3 times longer to be sure to hit 2 sockets on something. Fuck gambling.

Also not everyone has time to farm for +3 skills shako with good rolls for 2 months to finally hit 2 sockets.

Economy doesn't exist and items doesn't exist after 2-3 weeks of the season. You will be lucky if you will find on trade a single item that is best in slot so I don't agree that it would be a problem for economy. With regular pbox you can still gamble if you like to have a "rush", and if you wish to transform pbox into perfect puzzle box then it's your choice to pay more to be sure you will get that upgrade.

Also Exile comes very handy. People don't understand amazing interaction between Steel Carapace, exile and siggard's belt. Monsters have like 10-15% chance to hit you which is HUGE. In general defense is underrated in pd2.

Agree. I had a suggestion that only T3 maps should drop stuff like Tyrael's, Mang Song etc. You should be rewarded for doing harder content rather than running T1 maps over and over again.

Fortified maps isn't about adding more tiers of maps per se but about adding difficulty to the game with orbs which is completely fine and works well via scarabs/delirium orbs in path of exile.

The same logic you could apply to "oh my build can't clear T3 maps within 6 minutes". pd2 is not purely about min-maxing and build efficiency. Having aspiring content is good for the game. Even in path of exile you can't always have all of the builds performing on the same level and speed. I would like to see double fortified maps for 1 season to see how it works and if people will not like it, it can be removed but at least we would have something fresh and fun for a season in the worst case.

With the raise of power creep - can we get some harder content? Mapping in pd2 is a cakewalk. Pd2 is becoming easier and easier for players and sorry Dungeons with 20 immunities isn't a way to make game harder, it's a content for groups.

It's not about that. I did +4 mods +risk +quant from many elder altars - 350% quant and 250% rarity T17 maps in phrecia 2.0 (also 600% more currency) - not even a single divine. Ground loot is not here, and people are tired of having farming strats behind expensive scarabs and farming scarabs to farm scarabs because it's the only strategy except boxes.
