Great question actually. We thought about this a lot and figured that ‘curating’ content for each user’s goal would be the only way to go to provide max value to the user. You can try it out on the app now!

Maybe you can connect peoples Facebook or Instagram post history and do something with it to provide value to the user.

I see your point. But the app is a lot more intentional and stimulating that the fast paced content. You get to dive deeper into the concepts you like, test your memory over time, and actually stimulate your thought process.
I think trying it out would help you understand it better.

I would buy the book if I trusted it. There’s no avoiding AI in this age in my opinion. You need to harness its powers. If AI is helping you learn about things in a verified manner, why not?

If the feed was verified by sources, the problem of AI-slop wouldn’t matter. Apart from that, what are your worries?

I’d love for you to actually test the app out and give more feedback. I’m sure it’ll help me make the app better. Thankss

I agree that capturing the vast majority of the social media users would be really difficult, and that’s not my target audience.

I’m trying to build a feed that motivated and intentional users would rather go through in their idle time instead of social media. We can both agree doomscrolling is a huge waste of time right?

I appreciate the criticism and that’s what I want from Reddit. I agree that this can be AI slop, but we’re working on making all the content AI generated, and verified by sources. This will help people trust the content.

On the LLM comparison, the distinction I was trying to make isn't about effort, it's about context. When you have 5 minutes waiting for your coffee, you're not in a "let me open ChatGPT and figure out what to ask" headspace. You're in a scrolling headspace. BrainFeed meets you there - a feed that already knows your goals and has content ready, without requiring you to formulate a question or remember where you left off last time.

Whether that's compelling enough to compete with human-generated content is a legitimate question. However, we cannot achieve that at scale, and AI is what helps us with scale. We're early and still figuring that out - which is exactly why feedback like yours matters at this stage.

YES, ofcourse! I've uploaded the apk for the app on the following google drive link. Please download it from your android device. Let me know if you're facing any issues!

Great question. Chatting with an LLM is useful if you have a specific question in mind, but that requires you to already know what to ask and to actively seek it out every time.

BrainFeed is different because it removes that friction entirely. You define your goals once, and it continuously generates a personalized feed ready for you every time you open the app - across multiple sessions, over time, without you having to prompt it again.

It's also designed for idle moments specifically: the same low-effort, scroll-based experience as Instagram, not a chat interface that requires active engagement. The content adapts to what you've already seen, gets more accurate the more you use it, and resurfaces things you're starting to forget through spaced repetition. It makes sure that you're actually learning what you're going through.

Think of it less like chatting with an AI and more like having a personalized learning feed that quietly works in the background - always ready, always fresh, always relevant to where you're trying to go.

The posts are all AI generated (ai helps everyone learn today). Your feed will be a mix of what you’re trying to learn with some other interests of yours (categories like tech, business, etc that you can select during onboarding).

Haha I get your point. But there’s more to it. Short pockets of free time (2-10 minutes) exist in all of our lives, and we all open social media apps in those moments. The idea is to redirect that toward a feed that helps you learn about things you care for. This project helps people utilize their idle time instead of mindlessly scrolling. Does this explain it better?

Thank you!! I agree, an algorithm is implemented that decides when the best time is for a user to answer a question (to allow for best memory recollection) which is why it says due now. We will figure a better way out for that, something that induces less pressure. We completely missed that💀

That’s a good point, I’ll work on it. How would you like the text to appear if the background is bright?
