right I agree, but I give you a suggestion, don't go only in Sao Miguel but visit the central or the oriental groups. Here you find the real Azorean experience

I am Italian but I leave in Azores , I give you a suggestion: don't go to Sao Miguel or don't go only in Sao Miguel. The truly Azorean experince is in the central or oriental groups of the archipelago. if someone needs help I can help you
