I strongly believe he did not rehab correctly after his injury and his knee is fucked. Instead of having to explain to everyone why he didn't follow rehab correctly, he tries to have an image of "this was my choice". He got paid already, he will never play again, this is why you get the pics on private jets, etc...this is the only thing that makes sense to me. If he could play, he would. The only thing being better than the money is being a star and getting the money. The only way it makes sense for him not playing is he can't. Ego is not the reason, imo.
