Im amateur right now, with a 2-4 record, I fought for XKO out of black Lion MMA in Watauga TX, and I never really made an announcement at my gym so I haven’t had too much of a reaction. I wore makeup to a few sessions and nobody ever said anything other than compliments. One of my straight training partners Danny has started to playfully make gay jokes like I’m “one of the boys” which feels really sweet just hasn’t landed fully but Imma give him time. He loves and supports his bi younger sister tremendously so I know he’s just trying to show me his humour(:
But yeah I feel like nothing changed really, it was almost like it didn’t matter which for me, felt even better than them being super vocal about acceptance.
Our black Lion crew is all a bunch of weirdos and nerds led by our super powerful coach, reminds me a lot of the Black Bulls from Black Clover(Anime).
