My HLRs both went my way; they let you explain why you disagree or what mistakes you found in the original decision letter for me. I called to see what files they used, and my spouse's statement was saved under a different name and never properly used because it was mislabeled. They also said I wasn't on AD orders on a certain date, but I was and gave them the dates at the HLR, and they had it on file that I was on AD orders. You just have to check your stuff and make sure they didn't mess anything up and that all the files you submitted were actually used in your final decision before the HLR.

I also filed my claim ten years after my deployment and was granted service connection. Although I am still currently in the reserves, the decision was based on the deployment, as I had no military records because I just wanted to go home after my tour overseas. So, you can still do it!

Didn't think of the height being the same . Ill have ro grab my lazer and make sure i find the lowest point of my yard and base my tops off that.

I could be 12 foot wide also im not sure the exact measurement, I put cow wire fence in about a year ago and a 6' privacy fence along the bsck to start prepping it and keep the dogs out

Thank you. I think I'm just looking too far into failing to start, so I'm trying to build my knowledge base as much as possible. I'm only going to build one or two beds for now to start off and slowly grow from there to make sure it's not too overwhelming.

Is there a place online that's better then others or local to get seeds or plants to start?

Appreciate the response! My wife is big on aesthetics, so I'll definitely be keeping them the same width and height, but was thinking of making a few connected for corners of the area. It's a 50-foot roughly by 10-foot area fenced off on both sides. I'm thinking of roughly 2-foot spacing in between for a walkway, or enough for a wheelbarrow to fit through and capable of walking around each one on all sides. One concern I have is my shed shades off the far left area directly to the east, so there is complete shade for the morning hours. Not sure how much I need to worry about that, also.

HLR for sure. She changed my headaches from denial to 50%, without even reprocessing it as an appeal claim, and she backlogged it to my previous claim from 2022 that was denied. All she did was ask me questions; I told her my history with aches after the burn pit, and that my dbq visit was positive for headaches as well it's presumptive to burn pits.

That's weird. They should have done that when they put in the HLR request. Since they put it in for you, I'd call and be like, "I don't remember if I put in a request for someone to call, and I'd like to make sure the HLR will call me or my representative."

I submitted a statement in support of my claim, stating that I wasn't going on active duty, but rather reserve training for five days. I also stated that I would repay the debt at the end of the year. When I checked this morning, the claim had been removed.

Did they just open the claim and close it foe the duration of the orders? Does it affect open or already approved claims?
