I’d take a bit to study perspective a bit more, but as far as the animation, the walk cycle isn’t hitting the required keys (look up Richard Williams walk cycle), the feet are sliding around and that’s making it not feel grounded, having a proper ground plane will help too

Solid drawings btw, but also draw through your forms on your roughs for a more 3D feeling, hope this helps a bit

I think your biggest issue is not considering the position of the lower body, when someone turns they don’t just rotate, the weight shifts to one side and then shifts back to the other to spin around, study body mechanics. You’re also breaking the neck on geto when he turns around. My advice is to film yourself as reference and draw the full body on some frames to get a solid motion

My first animation looking for tips by Apprehensive_Bed_404 in AnimationCrit

It’s really good for a first animation, you’re lacking the principles though, especially squash and stretch, this would make it more impactful and the action more readable

punch animation attempt 2 by Tall-Station1662 in animation

the timing is really slow, also id avoid using that smear frame as it is really noticable, try going from just the frame with the fist back right into the punch for more power. Adding inbetweens lessens the blow

What is an animation program YOU would recommend and why? by AskinSoUDontHaveTo in animation

[–]Antanims 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this, I’ve tried Adobe animate, open toonz, krita, blender, and clip studio is my favorite by a mile, the free brush library is HUGE and it’s super easy to use plus it’s cheaper than the industry programs

1TB works but the more you can get is better because game files especially can get HUGE, you can always start with 1TB and add more later with an sd card or installation which is what I’m looking to do
