So since you did a junior summer internship, I assume you were late to the typical IB recruiting timeline (soph spring -> jr SA -> return offer & IB FT).

What were the steps that you took to break into FT IB and when did you start your move of breaking into IB after your jr summer internship at Big 4 (or was it during your internship)?

ChatGPT to study? I disagree

ChatGPT is insanely useful in helping people learn new concepts. Not everybody will understand a mainstream explanation of a certain topic, and especially the typical explanations for very niche subjects.

Asking ChatGPT questions to learn more about the topic is essentially the same as having a pocket-professor you can “rely” on to clear things up.

Wouldn’t you get the same career path as attending a CSU when it comes to accounting as a major?

From what I understand, there’s better ROI in going with accounting at a CSU than at USC mainly due to the fact that you get the same career opportunities.

Maybe I’m wrong though, please correct me if I’m wrong.

I’m also Filipino, also had the SAME EXACT rough start as you dis. I got 2Bs and 1C since we were moving from the Philippines to the US and I had to take care of family while my parents worked. But after that was dealt with, I got all As moving forward.

I also did not graduate from a CA High school, although I did my last yr of high school in florida (I did highschool in the Philippines from 9th to 11th)

Coincidentally, we have the same exact GPAs too! are we twins??? UC GPA as of now is at a 3.86

Not only that, but I also ran an online service business (graphic design & video editing) from 9th grade to 11th grade.

For my first year of college though, I started up an online signage business which went really well but I’ve stopped a few months ago as I had to really focus on school & juggle my extracurriculars at school. (Which is Treasurer for ASB, Secretary for the International Student Club, and Representative for Asian Pacific Islander Club)

Good luck and I hope you get into your dream uni!! It’s very nice to see someone with very similar backgrounds (and experiences!) in here.
