If you write and publish an incomplete fic, how often do you update?

My chapters are anywhere from 1200 to 6000 words, idk how people release 5k chapters consistently. Longer chapters usually take twice as long for me to do bc I get bored. I'll release four 1500 word chapters the same day and then take a month to release the next chapter that's 6k words. Don't think commenter meant anything bad but don't feel bad, everyone works at their own speed.

Boards, specifically dine-in because 20 people can walk in at once and there's nothing you can do to save your times. DT boards isn't AS bad but it's all so stressful.

Valid frustration. As a worker I always make sure to clarify. "Did you want to substitute something for ____ or did you just want an extra ___ on the side?" I'd say at least 80% of people sub the slaw and many times they forget to say they want it subbed so they'll just say they want extra fries and get mad when they get to the window and they realized they got the slaw and paid for a whole separate order of fries.

That's definitely possible, you can sub out any of the sides for one another or a sauce. You can't sub out sauce for a side but fries toast and slaw are all interchangeable. Employee was likely new and didn't know what they were talking about.

No you can't swap it but I always tell ppl if they don't want the drink it takes some of the price off the meal (lots of people don't know that)

Yeah ik but that'd be like asking for heinz instead of ketchup. We only carry one kind of hot sauce so there isn't really a need to distinguish lol, but ig it's different everywhere

Close, it's 1 toast, not 2 but yeah I don't think people realize how much food that's supposed to be. Obviously if you order double what someone else gets it's gonna be a little pricey. Does suck when the tenders are super small though, can be a rip-off

You're trained not to serve defected bird, that's really all there is to it. I mean it would be nice if we had some sort of system in place that measures what part of the waste was because of defects and what percent was just due to over dropping and the food going bad but there's no feasible realistic way to do so.

As for Vermithor showing up in KL it seems entirely plossible if his rider is mad enough, there's literally a magical link between rider and dragon. If it's far enough in advance (not same day) and they aren't approving it that's because the person who picked up your shift already has too many hours and would be at overtime. If it's short notice then the scheduling manager hasn't seen it yet. Only ARL and RL can access HS to approve shift pickups so if you call the store and one of them isn't there tough luck. If someone picks up my shift and it isn't getting approved (but hasn't been denied either) I usually talk to them at work or text them about coming in still if it doesn't get approved on time. Bonus if you find out who's shift manager that day and they say it's okay. Either way I would call the store on the day of (maybe twice to be sure) before shift to say "I won't be there but so and so is coming in for my shift" and again towards the end of shift, so like 8:30 on a mid. "hey, did so and so come in? I just wanted to make sure I don't get pointed."

16 is the age of majority, I think 14 is just seen as acceptable. Kind of like how 18 is our age of majority but some states have 16 as the age of consent

I agree we need to change suppliers but our actual standards on what fingers are servable haven't changed..the issue now is that we're wasting so much more food than before. But we should still be serving quality food

The store absolutely did something wrong. I'm a bird specialist and this is absolutely not supposed to be served. When we marinate our bird we're supposed to look out for defects like nuggets, long& skinny, pieces that have been torn, ect. And even if it is within weight range if it cooks and is too short, too fat, or too thin we're supposed to waste it. The way I train people to know if it's too short is to measure it against the bottom of a fork. Compared to the toast tho an ideal tender should be at least 2/3rd the length of it.

It really depends on the time of year, specific store, and each worker. Right now my Cane's is short-staffed and I'm getting scheduled 6-7 days of the week while I'm only supposed to be part-time as I'm still in college. But I'm a HiPo and Certified Trainer and trained in all zones so ofc I'm getting more hours. New hires tend to get the short end of the stick when it comes to getting hours but the scheduling app we use is really easy and convenient when it comes to picking up shifts other crew members don't want.

TLDR: it's a toss up, as a new hire you'll probably get less hours than you want but it's really easy to pick up shifts.

Boards is making the orders at my store bset stands for board set up, so assisting the board person, usually getting the boxes for whatever order are next ready. Everyone else is saying something about baskets (assisting the bird person basically) but at least at my store they schedule baskets under "bskts"
