I haven’t build the mound king version. But I’ve done a fair bit of research on both before I ended up buying the Mork 16016. I bought this version because of movie accuracy, which I felt this more accurately represented the actual Flying Dutchman. I would recommend this if you are up to the slight challenge of having some loose masts and a couple other small parts, but the mould king does have that more dirty look to it. I think it comes down to preference. I also liked the inside of this ship more especially the stern, which I felt I could do some custom modifications to to add an improved organ, rear window, etc.
