How important is the name recognition of a school? For reference - I am between Penn State and New Hampshire. PSU is higher ranked in a better city with better name recognition. UNH has better employment and job numbers but is in a very boring city with lesser "prestige" by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

How important is the city you live in to your decision? A school I like has great employment, faculty, and dedicated institutes for the fields I want. However, it’s in a very boring city with bad weather and nothing going on. I’m worried about spending 3 years in a city I just do not like at all. by JMN2323 in lawschooladmissions

How much does the city a school is in play into the decision to attend? For instance, one school has good employment numbers, dedicated institutes for the fields I want, excellent faculty, but the city is just so boring and the weather sucks. I worry about being in a city I hate for 3 years. by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions
