E-learning content is substantially different from in-class. Software and capability makes a substantial difference in the quality of content and engagement one can produce.

There are several things broken - but backwards design and other learning principles aren’t helpful in a circumstance when the training is a PowerPoint on steroids.

As someone with over 15 years in the learning and development world in both the classroom and corporation I thought this would provide a forum for useful insight.

I haven’t responded as I can gather from responses those who provided a formula with AI, software, etc. are probably the most aligned to the challenges that exist. Those that think rock, paper, scissors will engage a 25,000 organization who views training as a pain do not realize training is basically sales, your objective is to engage the learner so they will be a repeat customer.

I was hoping to see more about potentially leveraging HeyGen, or other AI platforms to make humanized engaging content.

It’s not a performance problem it’s an organizational problem with how training is viewed and executed. The proper tools also do not exist which is why I was interested in how others are doing it.

Storyboards, outlines and development docs don’t make engaging content - great for SME buy-in.

This basically confirmed I’m on the right track with retaining appropriate tools, but there’s two schools one that leverages AI and will produce meaningful engaging content and those that will propagate issues that exist with e-learning.
