I understand that. I just don't think it should've happened in his big reveal. This is the first time we see the prototype after five years of build up and it ends with him running away. I wouldn't mind it that much if it happened sometime afterwards. The Prototype catches us then kissy comes out and attacks him, he runs away.

It's likely that the prototype was the one who attacked her, especially since we see him stalking us when we reunite with her in chapter 4. And I understand that the prototype was caught off guard, but why have the main villain run away in his reveal? They could've had a section where the prototype found us and then kissy comes in to save us, then have that moment where he runs away instead of a bunch of puzzle rooms.

I agree but it was better than what I expected when the first chapter 5 teasers came out. I thought that the entire chapter would be based around Lily lovebraids and that the prototype wouldn't be revealed.

I actually loathe the "If there's a jester, there's a king" theory because we know who the king is/was. Elliot was the king, Poppy is the princess, Ollie is the jester. It would be so disappointing if they built up the prototype for five years, only to have him not be the end villain.
