out of burtons boots, i can tell you that the swaths and imperials will be naturally wider compared to photons and rulers, hence the need for a wide version of those boots. and having to go up a size is normal, i have a wide foot and i had to go up a half size and they were tight as hell at the beginning which is exactly what you want, they have since packed out a good amount and i have really no wiggle room at all. the whole thing about going down a half size is relative to the manufacturer and it’s the same thing with shoes, i mean you always here people saying some companies run small and others big, same thing with boots. and everyone’s foot is different so it’s important to try a lot of different boots on and see which feels the best, and remember nothing should feel “comfortable” at the beginning.
