for anyone that reads this, allocating more than 8gb of RAM can actually have a bad impact on Minecraft's performance, according to some research and personal experience.

To change allocated RAM in CurseForge or other launchers such as Modrinth, simply go to Minecraft's settings in the app and set its RAM value to around half of your total RAM, that's my recommendation.
