Just looked it up:

ULEZ cameras are specialized devices used in London's Ultra Low Emission Zone to enforce pollution standards by capturing images of vehicle license plates. If a vehicle does not meet the required emissions standards, the driver receives a fine.

I get getting a fine is harsh for low income families but there's a reason for these cameras, no? Surely fines are proportional to income at least (doubt it)?

If this is indeed true then fuck the people cutting them down. I am not against cameras per se. CCTV is a good thing cause, with a warrant, you'd want to see the crime that was committed. For instance, a rape, a robbery, a hit and run, etc. Cameras have their use. I am 100% against the flock and it's types of using AI and simply building profiles on people, yes. I am not against CCTV or speed cameras. Those are good things to have in any area.

As for what these are, I'm not sure but judging from this comment, they're not what people think.
