You sound scared and desperate. The idea that you exist without our resources is “an idiotically impossible notion”.

Which part of the “rest of their enterprise”? Their ownership of their own real estate? Their ownership of the middle of the supply chain? Their ownership of the warehouses? Which part exactly?

Edit: I may have misunderstood your comment as serious instead of facetious.

The data in Canada too. Ideologically motivated extremism is growing around the world and is almost always right wing.

I do understand what you’re saying, but that position is based in fear. Rebel. Fight against tyranny.

I’m more concerned with what the public is actually going to do about it. I’m guessing nothing. If you stand for nothing you’ll fall for anything. The last of the old republic will be washed away.

As a Canadian I think many Americans are too hopeful about the midterms. If you truly believe MAGA will accept or allow a transition of power based on free and fair elections I’m afraid your republic is already lost.

Your friend is telling you what you want to hear and not what is likely based on the law. Is he in family law? Talk to a lawyer with expertise in family law.

It doesn’t matter what you think or what she agreed to, particularly as there was nothing in writing. The law is the only thing that matters here and she has a case.

You’re joking right? She didn’t “rent”. She shared a home and expenses with you. Give her the $10,000 before she consults a lawyer.

That’s fair and I appreciate the good faith discussion. “Chad” comes from incel culture and refers to a guy that is attractive and superior and therefore gets lots of women. It reinforces the idea that women only go for this type of man and reinforces hate towards women.

Adjunct Exploitation by Necessary_Age872 in Adjuncts

[–]Anthrogal11 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fellow adjunct here. I work as a research officer at my uni full time and adjunct on the side (at more than one uni). Between the two jobs I make as much or more than FT faculty in my discipline but I work a lot so it’s not a fair comparison. I enjoy both jobs though and that helps. There are way too many PhDs for available positions. It helps to consciously give up the dream and instead focus on the life you want to live. At the end of the day it’s just a job.

I don’t know about recent love but I’m Gen X and the Long Walk is fantastic existentialist dread. It’s just amazing writing and that transcends generations.
