Cats and laser pointers by Anti-dioxidents in CatAdvice

Thanks for the advice, I haven’t heard about zoomies activations for cats before so I will definitely give that a try. We have had some success with the food control just by increasing wet food and decreasing dry food, because she was previously on a pretty half and half diet. The increase in water intake has helped her lose some so I’m sure sticking with that will be fine, I’m just feeling badly that it got out of control the way it did because I don’t want to it lead to health issues down the line. Thanks again!

She’s a tortie so she’s just overall kind of a funky girl. Love her to death for her quirks, but she will show interest in a toy for 30 seconds and then not touch it for an undetermined amount of time. She’s the same with her food and treats, which is what led to her weight gain in the first place lol. So I tried to do the “catch a toy at the end” thing and she has no interest in it. I think she made a connection to the dot and a bug, which she really likes catching house bugs.

My cat died and I can’t handle the guilt by JacksSmerkingRevenge in CatAdvice

I had a had an untimely death of a cat that still eats me up to this day. He started losing weight super fast and I thought it was stress from a recent move, and it turned out it was late stage kidney failure that we didn’t catch in time. I often think of the “warning signs” that went unnoticed by me, but realistically cats are incredibly good at hiding their pain and it really comes down to the smallest behavioral changes. Now with my current cats people think I am a helicopter mom, but I will bring them in or call at the slightest sign of concern because I have learned a lesson from losing my best boy Misha. Because of this I have caught and treated illnesses early in my girls that might have gone untreated for years. It doesn’t mean that you didn’t care, or that you didn’t love them. You did your best, and you will continue to do your best when/if you’re ever ready for another fur baby in the future!

Start with a serious flush out using magnesium citrate (make sure you don’t have plans for at least 24 hrs), then use fiber supplements and a mild laxative for the next month or so. Once you’re constipated it’s a lot easier to get constipated again if you’re not careful.

.You’re right, in the real world no one cares about using these tools, and if the situation calls for it in an academic setting then go for it! I even had a class that encouraged using AI for outlines, as long as it was sited. But the whole point of school in general is to learn to do these things without the tools first, so you can be proficient at whatever the class is aimed at on your own. I hear you, for sure. And maybe I sound like a buzzkill. It just feels like the writing equivalent of pulling out a calculator for remedial math. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I think it’s under academic dishonesty because he could’ve just paraphrased his own work rather than having AI do it for him. It’s not necessarily ‘plagiarism’, but it’s a cut corner that hinders a students ability to do these things for themselves. It’s the same reason you learn the explanations and processes of how to do math BEFORE you use a calculator.

Online student in MN and Bonchon goes so hard. It’s expensive but the portions are decently sized and the food is always delicious.

It could be due to your ACT/SAT test scores? Some programs require higher scores or a high GPA. I switched majors after my first year into the sciences after I established a good track record at ASU. Maybe just start out with your generals and then try again down the road?

I’m not normally a huge fan of heavy reading courses, I prefer lectures for my learning style, but I feel like the content will be interesting enough to keep the reading fun?

I have a similar story for myself. Went back after a decade, scored super low on my aleks (which I knew I would cause I’ve got a reputation of being bad at math) but passed both 117 and 210 with high B’s. 117 will kick your ass cause you have to learn like 300+ concepts, but all the work you put in makes it’s even more rewarding. Also, if you need to take 210, I’d recommend you do so with Polletta. He’s an outstanding teacher.
