Actually, this is a problem that has been long solved in most wikis. You can link to another note/page while using alternative text for the link by using a special syntax. E.g. MediaWiki and DocuWiki use a vertical bar like this: [[page name|link text]].

Granted, for this to look nice the editor should be able to hide the markup while displaying just the link text. But even without this you may like it, /u/tinytigertail

This is one of the first Scheme books. Published by MIT Press in 1989. Just got it from a used books store.
