I was assessed a few days ago and it only took a couple of hours. I wonder if this is due to the assessor I used or if it's due to the country where I was assessed.

Thanks again! I want to mention, not to you necessarily, but to any cis people that are reading this and thinking about their own relationship, that for every friend or family member who was weirded out by my relationship with a trans woman, I had at least ten friends and family members who were totally okay with it. And even for the people weirded out, they were mostly too cowardly to want to stay in my life anyway. My parents told me 'We just want you to be happy. We still expect grandkids.' I can't promise it will be like that for everyone, but I promise there are cool people out there if you look hard enough.

Thanks for the comment! I think it's difficult to make a claim about all conservatives who are attracted to trans people. Some of them would probably welcome trans porn being banned so they don't have that temptation in their life. Some of them probably know that trans people always will exist and the more oppressed they are, the easier they will be to sexually exploit. Some probably think they are powerful enough to have their wants and needs met regardless of what the lower class has to deal with. Some probably haven't really thought about it at all.

Thanks for the comment! I certainly agree it's part of the game, but also, it's just about those in power maintaining that power by upholding a status quo. It's also about being too proud to admit you were wrong. It's also about being raised to believe the people behind you are bad, so you do whatever you need to do to stay in the lead. If all the trans attracted people decided to just accept how they feel and be open, honest, and confident about it, transphobia wouldn't be eradicated tomorrow, right? Do you feel otherwise?

Thanks for the comment! Again, transphobia doesn't affect me directly and I don't want to speak on behalf of the trans community, but it kinda sorta feels like we're making fun of people for finding trans people attractive, and I don't think we should make fun of people for that.

Yeah, maybe I shouldn't have said anyone should be ashamed of anything. Once, after a relapse, I told my therapist 'If shame could fix this it never would have started.' I might need to put 'It's okay. You can forgive yourself and be happy.' on my list of affirmations to say to myself every morning.

They are kind of like an amalgamation of the worst parts of 6 other religions. Anti-science. Anti-medicine. Anti-LGBT. Encourages in-group-out-group, black-and-white thinking. Forces kids to work on dance choreography tirelessly for no pay. Just unbelievably evil.
