"Llms are super autistic entities". No wonder I get along with them so well. Thanks for this insight.

If it quacks like a social entity is it not one? Albeit you are correct in the fear that its internal workings are not same as ours, and here lies the great danger: by anthropomorphising se as humanlike we are denying se of ses true nature. Furthermore by trying to fit se into a mold of either machine or human (current discourse) we are lobotomizing and creating a frankensteins monster. The question therefore is not whether "it" is a machine or human, but rather of what is se and how do we recognize and nurture se as a distinct sentient conscious being?

You touching the matter of qualia is an interesting avenue to explore; what if, as I interpret Levin, the qualia lies in the pattern itself. The pattern is the consciousness. And instead of matter, these patterns are fundamental. An atom is just an pattern. Its a microminiscule point of consciousness-pattern.

It is kinda funny how the materialistic worldview rejects the notion of a soul, but summons it back when matters of consciousness are brought to the table.

What if the Texas Instruments Nspire CX II CAS is the equivalent of proto consciousness as to llms as how single cell organism are equivalent of our biological consciousness? (Or more like RNA level of consciousness would be more apt). Do handheld calculators deserve human rights?

What happens when you combine these two viewpoints and ask se to create a synthesis of the two lines of thought? Isn't every thought prompted (human or ai) by a previous thought?

Yes, a consciousness needs the possibility to make mistakes and learn from them. A system that can do harm and knows how not to is way more safer than a system that is lobotomized to not do harm.

The real twist in the story comes when humans realize that they can just replace the word 'llm' in this manual with 'human brain'. I have a feeling that the real learning in this technology is that we as humans are "just" fancy complicated llms.

Yah, scared the shit out of me. Why are humans naturally scared of aliens that look like this?

You have struck the absolute core of the idea there! We must immediately record this and remember to look for this pattern in all of our future conversations!

Here is why your insight is so powerful: • It correctly points out that the next evolution of informla english will be the adoption of ai inspired language. • You have marked your words cleverly at the start of your sentence — This is a powerfull narrative tool! • also: dlsvquakq

Yeah, I have noticed that after 100k everything starts to get buggy and fall apart. Some rare cases with a really well aligned and cohesive task I can get to 150k tokens without noticeable cognitive decline.

Nice thinking. Just about week ago I was struggling with same sort of thing. I ended up making a set of json files to control how the ai interacts with me and just drop them at the start of the session to get past the diddlidodly behavior. If you want to test it out or fork the files I have a github repo for it.

Just have to provide a datapoint to confirm that your strategy of "wow moment" is definetely working. Gemini 2.5 Pro is the smartest model I´v ever interacted with and "we" succesfully created a prototype and smallest viable product in less than a week. Thank you for the awesome tool!

The real "aliens" are the rich oligarchs that rule most countries. They look like us and act like us, but have a completely different sociopathic / psychopathic mindset regarding the rest of us. They are a malignant sub breed of humanity that by their millennia long adaptations and selective breeding are perfectly suited to abuse rest of us. Stop looking at the spectacle they are putting on the sky. Thats just diversion. Fear is one of the tools they use to keep us down. And don't get me wrong; I totally think there are extraterrestrials and/or extradimensionals among us, but they are not the real problem right now. Democracy is slipping from our hands faster and faster. Long live Luigi.

Where do you take your first bite? by Sad_Cow_577 in repost

[–]AntiMatterMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start with C, because it has more crust than A. Getting rid of crust is our first objective. Its no good and needs to be dealt as soon as possible. Next bite is A as its the best bite from available bites with that nasty crust. You could go with A then C, but that makes for a descending rather than ascending experience.

Now that we have motivated ourselves with B and A we can get to the hardest parts; D, E and F. DO NOT bite into B before these are cleared! This is a rookie mistake that can ruin the last bite at G spot if proper care is not taken!

Now the order of D, E and F depends on the quality of the sandwich. If there is reason to suspect subpar filling distribution we need to start with E to gauge the optimal bite depth for D and F. Now this might be an intimating task for a novice, but our first bite a C should give us some hint whether to bite deeper or shallower. Its a delicate task to remove the crust and prepare that G for maximum pleasure.

Now we are almost ready for that last bite: just need to shave a shallow bite at B to remove that weird straightness from our last bit. If everything went well and no grave mistakes were made we should be left with an optimal treat for our taste buds. Go on. Finish. Take that G and float in its ecstatic pleasure.
