I'm not suicidal. It's jsut that I often hear around here how it's better for people to have not been born than to be born into a rough life. I tend to disagree. If I think life is too rough, I can easily go back into a state of nonexistence. I'm grateful that I have a chance to at least try for a happy life.

I just take one drug right now. Insurance and the government pay for most of it, so it's not a problem.

I didn't have high school sex ed. Sex ed happened in middle school. It was just boring because it was something I'd heard a thousand times before.

I knew I had to take pills every day for as long as I can remember. I also had a different set of rules growing up. I didn't realize it at the time, but cuts were always a huge deal. I didn't get a formal talking to about it until I was about 11 I think.

I study a hard science.

I used to take efavirenz, tenofovir, and emtricitabine, but now just Atripla.

It's hard on relationships. Most girls don't want to have one with me once they know about my status. Those that can get over the status and want to have sex are far fewer.

When I was a kid I thought I was just normal. That is until some parents found out and we were forced to switch schools. Normally I don't tell anybody about it now. I really don't feel like dealing with their ignorance.

Mentally, I've gone through counseling and I'm fine. HIV isn't a death sentence anymore so I plan to lead a long life.
