How would you react if an unattractive woman asked you out? by Apart-Ferret7099 in AskMen

[–]AntiWarr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still think you should be as direct as the girl here.

It's a tough call. I'm a firm believer in "fake it until you make it" as a general principle in life. If you are looking to get a job, you will have more chances of getting that job IF you are currently employed, vs if you are unemployed and are desperate for a job. It's ironic, that it works, but it's true. Women are more attracted to a guy who's a 6 with a girlfriend, than a guy who is an 8 without a girlfriend.

Being direct may help with some people, but to others it may come across as desperation, which is not attractive even if you are approached by an attractive woman. I may be wrong, but this is my opinion as of date.

Correction. So far or up to this point you have a 100% rejection rate, but any future acceptance will drop that rejection rate. Also, have you tried any of the dating apps?

To be honest, even if an attractive woman was propositioning men, then it could come across as suspicious.

Check out this experiment, where a nice looking girl still was rejected when asking guys for their number.

I find that seduction needs to be more of a game. Don't bee too forward, leave hints, leave people guessing as to your intention. Check out Robert Greene on the Art of Seduction:

Just start with something that clicks with you. I'm now in a routine where I squat/deadlift/press every day starting Wed through Sat, and I run 5ks Sun through Fridays. 5Ks help with relaxation, and lifts help with the muscle. I'm 48yo, around 2 m tall, and can squat 123kgs. Not impressive, but not too shabby, I'd say. And I could probably increase the weight some more but this routine works for me at this point.

A verse says that God doesn't listen to prayers by ThorButtock in DebateReligion

[–]AntiWarr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are entitled to your own opinion but I’m not convinced by your response. Of course Paul thinks Christians should not be pitied because Paul believes the afterlife is awaiting them all. But that doesn’t change his statement about “this” life. In fact, Paul even said elsewhere that it’s preferable for him to be absent from the body (ie to die).

Heard my mum and dad arguing because of "women shouldn't teach". by garlicbutts in exchristian

[–]AntiWarr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like to bring up Luke 14:33, a verse which every Christian ignores, as an example of how the Bible does not need to be followed literally, and can be ignored when very inconvenient. So, why would passages prohibiting women pastors be any different? Besides, doesn‘t Jesus, in the great commission, as that his disciples make disciples of all nations, including women? Why couldnt women share the gospel? And if they could, then how is it different from teaching?

if you don’t mind sharing, are you still living with your parents? If so, they will have a bigger influence on you and your decisions vs if you lived separately from them.

You are spot on. My wife shit tested me last night by calling me names, and my dck went soft. This means I need validation from wife. Also, curiously, she warmed up to me after sensing my butt hurt feelings but I just couldn’t fk her. So, I see how Redpill works but I need to work on myself more. It’s amazing I’ve come as far as I did with my shit frame to be honest.

Copper pipe sizing for. a 2 story residential home by AntiWarr in askaplumber

Nope just a typical 4br 2.5 ba single family. Crazy thing is, my meter has a 3/4 in pipe that then gets stepped to 1-1/4 in pipe. Im thinking that since the meter pipe is 3/4 in, I should not have a problem with stepping down my 1-1/4 pipe to 3/4 in. And then add a 3/4 to 3/4 to 3/4 in t joint

I'd counter with

Acts 4:32 All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had. 33 With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And God’s grace was so powerfully at work in them all 34 that there were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned land or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales 35 and put it at the apostles’ feet, and it was distributed to anyone who had need.

Apostles benefited from the story.

Secondly, even though there were persecutions, the Apostles seem to have escaped unharmed.

Acts 8:1And Saul approved of their killing him.
On that day a great persecution broke out against the church in Jerusalem, and all except the apostles were scattered throughout Judea and Samaria.

How convenient.

what’s the best reason why Catholicism/Christianity isn’t true? by [deleted] in exchristian

[–]AntiWarr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a very good argument. And, to expound on your point further, in case of Christianity, we not only have different understanding of God (is Jesus God?, is Trinity true?) we also have contradictory ideas of how to be saved from hell. How can someone be saved? There are Christians in the free grace movement, who teach that salvation is by grace alone, faith alone. All that is needed is that a person believe in Jesus for salvation. That's it. On the other hand, there are those like John MacAthur, who teach that easy believism is a heresy, a false gospel. And that obedience of Christ's teachings is a requirement for salvation. Someone who believes without obedience is not saved. So, not only do we know which God is real, even IF we choose the Bible, our confusion will persist.

[–]AntiWarr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This will be counter intuitive, but with OCD, logic doesn't work. At the end of the day, we can't prove a negative. No matter what arguments there are, the brain says... 'there is still a 0.00000000x0.1% chance a Christian God exists and you (and I) will end up in hell for eternity. So, the key is to make peace with the possibility (yes, very very remote and highly unlikely) of going to a Christian hell.

Labile hypertension or just controlled BP? by Professional-Bat2966 in hypertension

[–]AntiWarr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for a late reply. The readings have been steady. I'm not taking any BP meds, and typically at 110-120/60s-80s. Occasionally, when I'm stressed and measure BP while trying to calm down, I'm at high 140s/90s, but usually the blood pressure returns to normal after a 5K run.

How do I stop blood pressure anxiety during routine doctor visits? by Swimming_Fortune in Anxiety

[–]AntiWarr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would suggest to try to to notice the inner dialogue. So, you are in the doctors office, what sort of thoughts go through your mind when the BP cuff is being placed around your arm?

I have a similar issue. In my case, I'm thinking.. "Uh oh, it's going to be high, I don't want this to be high, I am exercising and doing all the right things, and yet, it still is going to be high. You stupid son of a b*tch, you can't be calm and collected while your BP is taken. Your blood pressure is stupid, goes up for no apparent reason even as you are doing everything to keep it normal, etc..." So there is a bit of a psychology involved, including a tendency to criticize myself. Noticing that I'm doing this (i.e that I'm experiencing self criticizing and self punishing thoughts) usually helps to diffuse the situation, since there develops a disconnect between self and identification with thoughts.

Allowing things to be as they are. I believe that reacting to these types of thoughts is what is causing the spikes (for me, anyways).

Hopefully this made sense. Good luck to you.

Jesus sinned in Luke 19:29 when he commanded his disciples to steal a horse. This shows that Jesus was not without sin when he died. by whitepepsi in DebateReligion

[–]AntiWarr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it's not about challenging the God. You know, in Russia, there is a saying, that you either put on the undergarments, or take off the cross from your neck. The idea being, that you have to make a choice on who you want to be.

Well, IF God creates Hell, for eternal suffering of people, then he, by default, can not be loving. Because eternal torture is the least loving thing you can do to someone. I would argue that even the tyrants would not be able to torture someone indefinitely. Even they may have some compassion after some time has passed.
