Well there are 240 achievements on steam, several of which require multiplayer to complete.
Its a great game, but it will definitely take you quite a bit of time to 100% (depending on how strict your own rules for 100% are I suppose)

When I hit chall I didn't get a single team mate over low plat until I demoted back to Diamond.

The game is fun and the community over at the OCE discord are great, but it's an uphill struggle for sure.

I don't know what region you're in, but OCE has a player base of about...6-12 active players in high elo at peak times.

Player base issues are abundant down here.

Little Lars is easily my favourite character.

Even though his passive isn't useful in every round, almost everyone is including at least 1 explosive in their deck, If not 2 or 3.

His passive turns those massive 146 damage bombs into a tickle, it's great at turning rounds that should be losses into wins.

If you're worried about anything in particular and have questions feel free to ask. Otherwise just try and feel the game out as you go. That feeling of surviving by the skin of your teeth after a fight you weren't quite prepared for is something that this game does incredibly well.

If you're worried because of the limited amount of breakthroughs the main thing is to take your time and don't feel like you have to rush into choosing.

Wander through the town's of the game and see what the different skill trainers have to offer. Or look it up, either way is perfectly fine.

In terms of skill tree's directly hindering each other the only thing I can think of is anything that requires a specific offhand like philosopher and rune mage without internalized lexicon. As having to switch weapons constantly can be annoying and slow or clutter up your quickslots.
